Kiri nibbled on a piece of bread as Kate popped the box of donuts open and ate one. "Want one?" she asked, offering him a sticky donut.

Myroad strolled to the docks and casually stole some rope and net, grabbing some blankets and loose cloth on the way back to their hideout

Kiri took it. "Uh...thanks? I guess," he said, biting into it. Kate seemed very pleased with herself.
"Donuts are my favorite food," she explained. -
Myriad soon got back and hauled his collected items into the rafters. He used the rope to tie the net across the rafters, and then started layering the cloth to make a nest

Kiri said nothing, partially because he had a mouthful of donut but mostly because he didn't know what to say. Kate watched Myriad make his thing-a-ma-jig curiously.

Myriad made upset noises when he ran out of blankets and ran out to get more

Kate started climbing up to see. "It's pretty!" she decided. "Myriad's building a thingy."
"I'm sure," Kiri said dryly. -
Myriad came back with more blankets and when he saw her near his nest, he kinda just grabbed her and dragged her into it, burying her in the blankets while making soft noises

Kate let out an alarmed squeak, but quickly got comfy. "It's cozy here," she decided, curling up and smiling happily.

Myriad was now happy with amount of blankets, and suddenly jumped down and grabbed Kiri, hauling him into the nest as well

Kiri didn't appreciate this gesture as much as Kate and tried to scramble for freedom, unsuccessfully. He landed with a waphumph in the blankets.

Myriad proceeded to drag him back next to Kate, before curling up in the blankets and tucking his leathery wings over them

Kiri huffed in protest, finally resigning to his fate. Kate giggled.
"It's a sleepover!" she said delightedly. -
Myriad cooed happily in response

Kate hugged Myriad. "You're warm," she said happily.
