"Maybe, so he'll stop whining," Kate said after a moment of thought.

Myriads tail manifested for a moment, just long enough for him to whip it around and cut the bindings

Kiri rubbed his wrists. "So do either of you plan on letting me go any time soon? I have a job, you know."
"No, what's the point of catching you if I can't keep you?" Kate protested. -
Myriad giggled softly at that

"But I-" Kiri began in feeble protest.
"You're staying here and that's final," Kate interrupted. -
Myriad grinned, displaying razor sharp teeth "and if you try to run, ill hunt you down.

Kate smiled delightedly. "It's settled then! You're our funny binocular man now."

"Does that make him a pet? Ive never had a pet!"

"It does make him a pet!" Kate decided.

"....what do we feed him? I dont think he eats wood or other humans"

"You're right," Kate said, rattling the vitamin bottle again. "I think he eats these little rocks."

Myriad took the bottle after a moment of heasitation to make sure it was ok. He then opened the bottle and dug out one of the vitamins, eating it.

"Is it good?" Kate asked in a voice of hushed respect.
