Kate nodded her head approvingly and continued to ruffle through Kiri's stuff.

Myriad rolled his shoulders and unfurled his wings in a flicker of flame, his tail arching calmly behind him as he stretched them out. He couldnt open them fully in the room, but it still felt nice to spead them

Kiri gulped hard. "Right. You're a...a...a thing."

Amusement spread across Myriads face as he curled his wings against his back "i mean, you are technically correct

"But what kind of things are you?" Kiri asked.

"Mostly demon" he said, looking thoughtful "probably."

"That's different," Kiri said. "Is this normal around here?"

"I dont think so" Myriad said as his wings vanished "at least, ive never noticed any others around

"So you're special!" Kate said with a smile.

Myriad blinked in confusion "hu?" He said

"There might only be one of you in the whole wide world," Kate said in awe. "Isn't that neat?"

"Honestly thats probably a good thing. Humanity doesnt need anymore predators" he said flatly
