"Yep!" Kate said cheerfully. She made her way back to their unofficial base, tying Kiri to a table.

"Oooh i wonder how well he would burn?" Myriad asked excitedly, something dark flickering in his eyes

"Uh, no thanks," Kiri said. "I'm not the burning type."

"I am~" Myriad sang out cheerfully

Kate peered through Kiri's binoculars. "He must be a spy, so we have to get what he knows."

"How would you like to do that boss?"

"Boss?" Kate said, bringing the binoculars away from her eyes and giving Myriad a confused expression.

"Would yoy rather i call you something else? Like, say, Mistress?" He said, only half joking

Kate nearly choked. "What about...Partner? We're in this together."

Myriad tilted his head "but that would imply that we are of the same standing."

"We are," Kate said, setting the binoculars aside and rummaging through the rest of Kiri's items.

Myriad frowned in confusion "no, we arnt."

"Why not?" Kate said, lifting up a granola bar and yeeting it aside.
