"Wow," Kiri said. "That's interesting. What are you guys going to do next?"

"I have no idea~" Myriad sang out playfully

A small smile flitted on Kiri's face before the door flew open with a bang, revealing Kate with a bag of groceries. "I'm back!" she said happily. "I got bread. Lots of bread."

"Hi Kate! Friend and i had nice chat!" Myriad chirped, sitting up on his perch

"Really?" Kate said, beaming. "That's awesome! I got you some fancy wood. It comes from the beach."

"Oooh really?" Myriad clambered off his perch front first, opening his wings to slow his fall

Kate pulled it out of the bag with dramatic flair. "Tada~! Special wood for Myriad," she said, handing it over. "And bread for our friend!"

Myriad took the wood and lept back up to his perch, clutching the wood close as he looked for a place to put it in the rafters

"Thanks," Kiri said, taking the soft loaf of bread. Kate flipped the plastic bag upside down and emptied its contents onto the floor, sitting down to open up a box of donuts.

Myriad got an idea and climbed down to grab some long boards that had been laying in a corner, holding the drift wood with his tail. He then climbed back up, moving in a way that made it clear that he was more used to climbing with his wings then flight. He then layed the boards across the rafters to make a little shelf for his drift wood to sit om

"That's smart," Kate stated, having watched him. "You have a little shelf thingy now!"

Myriad made a quiet trilling sound in response, before he seemed to have an idea "can i go get some stuff?" He asked

Kate shrugged. "Sure. Knock yourself out," she said, before realizing that Myriad would probably take that literally. "Wait no, don't do that. I mean...have fun."

Myriad blinked a little in confusion before nodding and heading out, dismissing his wings and tail as he did
