Myroad blinked at her and then shrugged "i guess

"At least I have a family," Kate said, laying back down.

"Is that a good or a bad thing for humans?" Myriad asked in confusion

Kate laughed a little, although it sounded colder than usual. "It depends on the family."

Myriad kneeded the blankets with a quiet hum

"This family is nice though," Kate contemplated.

Myriad blinked at her in confusion

"You and him," Kate said, nudging Kiri with her foot.

Myriad blinked "oh, ok

Kate sighed happily and cuddled up against Myriad. "Well, I'm going back to bed. Nighty night."

By the time Kate woke up, the sun had risen again. Kiri slept peacefully whereas Kate slept like a baby, meaning she had gotten up several times and cried. But other than that, both woke up fully rested.

Myriad had stayed awake to watch them, and had left a few minutes ago to find food

Kiri munched solemnly on a somewhat stale piece of bread, before Kate slapped it out of his hands. He started to protest before she replaced it with a donut.
