Myriad came back with some blood splattered on his front, and a bag off food in his hand

"Uhm, Myriad? Why are you all...bloody?" Kate asked, concerned.

"Oh some human tried to mug me" he said casually

"And...what did you do?" Kate said, her hand hovering uncertainly next to her mouth, clutching a donut.

Myriad hessitated for a moment "are you sure you want me to answer that?

"Maybe," Kate said, uncertain. "Actually, yes, I should probably know."

"I killed and ate him. Well, parts of him" he said with a shrug

Kiri choked on his donut and Kate gave him some hearty thumps on his back. "Ate him? I thought you ate wood!"

"I can eat wood, but its not great. Kinda like eating stale crackers" he said calmly

"Then why didn't you just eat stale crackers?" Kate suggested as Kiri hunched over, eyes watering as he swallowed the donut.

"Because all it does really is replenish my magic, i would still starve if i didnt eat anything else

"So is this gonna be a regular thing?" Kate asked somewhat calmly, ripping up a piece of cloth and trying to dab off the blood.

"If you dont want me to eat humans i wont" he said
