Death note is still the s---aki mushrooms
It's fine lol I'm with family
Blue looked to Rose, clearly quite confused. "He said sure but he has to let his parents know." Rose told him. Blue nodded, smiling gently in happiness. He glanced around the table for a minute, beginning to dive into the salad he had packed the day before.
He was thinking about how they all had their little issues, and it fascinated him. Liam was mute, Rose had social anxiety, Adam had a broken family, Nadia had insomnia, and he had hypersomnia and depression. He hated his issues, but he loved those around him for who they were. Their vices made them perfect. Liam gave off that sweet, humble vibe. And it made Blue vibrate with happiness and selflessness for the other boy.
It took Blue a long time to feel close to Adam and Charlie, when he had first met them. Blue had known Rose for a long time, as her mom was a long time family friend. He had always been close to Rose- he hadn't had a choice. It was odd. They were so alike but so different. Especially in their families. His mother was poor, single mother whom worked factory jobs. Rose's family was together, she came from a big family of six. Her dad was a neurosurgeon and her mom a nutritionist. For these reasons, Rose wasn't allowed to take medicine for her anxiety. Blue's insurance covered his shrink- not that he had a choice to go to him. He crossed his arms, sighing. He was due for another CT scan soon, and another EMG.
Blue glance over to Liam after a few minute's silence. "You'll love the library. They have everything." He particularity enjoyed the section they had on psychology and the old books they had. His favorites were the Sherlock books. The crime chasing intrigued him, the deductions as well. That's what inspired him to be involved with crime- just in his own, 21st Century way. -
damn straight it is
oh familiiiiiaaaaaaa
Once the salad he'd created was fully consumed, he set the fork down in the bowl. He stared at the bowl for a moment, biting down on his lip and patting his stomach. In Montana, he never attended social gatherings even as harmless as trips to the library. They weren't appealing to him and he felt that there was no point in attempting to be so social. As he dwelled more on his previous life on Montana, he was beginning to realize how Marina really was towards him. Always telling him to have fun, don't be a party pooper, get out of the house.
A part of him feared that they were only friends because she was the only other person that spoke in sign language. It pained him to shed darkness on her in that manner, and his stomach was speaking to him again, doing flips and turns. Maybe it was for the best that Marina was so infuriated with him. Maybe it was aiding him to see what she was truly like, her full, honest personality. The voice in the back of his head was telling him that he broke his vow to himself.
He cursed himself for breaking his promise. He wanted things to be okay with Marina, but if she was going to act as though she never truly cared about it, he would have to cut all the strings that attached them together. The boy looked around at the people at the table, realizing that this was how he should have felt when he met Marina. He should have felt the love, acceptance, and comfort right off the bat. He should have been able to cry in front of her right away. Instead, whenever he talked about his fear with her, she'd laugh as though he was telling a lie.
He rose his hands once again, signing, Thank you for taking me in so quickly. I appreciate it fully. -
Yass
Liam breaks my heart omg ;-;
Rose understood what Liam had communicated, and explained it to the rest of the group. They smiled, saying "Of course!". Blue merely grinned, saying nothing. The drowsiness began to hit him like a wall. It was the anti depressants that made him feel so mediocre, and made him space out. Sadly, his shrink believed his depression would worsen hypersomnia, which was actually quite true. So he had to take depression medication as well.
Blue remembered when he first met Rose. It was his birthday, April 13th. He was about six years old. Rose had ashy brown hair, and her mom braided it in two braids. It was so long, and he remembered his first impression of it. He was shell shocked. It was soft, curly and beautiful. His hair had been his normal, strawberry blond and was actually quite long. His mom hadn't enough money to get him a haircut, so he wore it long. It was probably about down to his shoulders. They had been at the park, running around and giggling. They would wrestle, see who could hang from the monkey bars longer, pretend to be horses. It was so silly, and it was blazing hot out.
He grinned subconsciously. He hadn't realized the large, goofy smile plastered across his face. He was extremely out of it, and he was staring at the table. He blinked out of it, his smile not fading. -
so does blue for me tbh
like I feel really bad
that just seems like a lot to deal with
The sixteen year-old eyed Blue from where he was, somewhat sensing that there was something off. He casually came to a straight stand, heading off to hand his salad bowl to the lovely workers who manned the dishwashing station. He thanked the man who took if from him. Once he made his way back to the table, he sat down and pushed himself in so that he body was just barely touching the edge of it. He looked to Nadia and Rose, signing, Is he alright?
It was his nature to want to make sure everything was going smoothly and that everything was alright. If it wasn't, he felt urge after urge to help the individual facing an obstacle of some sort. For Blue, he was completely ready to do so. His face was laced with the classic signs of nervousness...pursed lips, furrowed eyebrows, crinkled nose. Thanks to being capable of communicating with the females, he would be given the information necessary to help Blue to the best of his ability.
The way that the boy looked reminded him of his uncle when he was given his lithium. He would drone out and it was almost as though he was on a drug trip of some sort. The medicines that were administered to people with mental illnesses often scared Liam. They had so many side effects that he didn't believe anybody should have to deal with. He saw Blue taking his medication and he believed that that was the reason. He waited for confirmation. -
I know and I'm like ughh
Nadia and Rose both understood quite well. They looked to Blue, who was starting to daze off again. Nadia tilted her head, urging Rose to respond. She whispered to Rose, "Your dad's the neurologist." Rose nodded, and then proceeded to sign He takes a lot of medication. He gets his doctor from his insurance- He's pretty inexperienced. My dad's a neurologist, and agreed that Blue is on way too much medication. All he does is daze out. It gets really hard to talk with him. It scares me a lot, sometimes.
Blue was oblivious to the communications happening at the table. Charlie coughed, causing him to jump up, almost out of his chair. He felt terrible. Blue hated being on so much medication. It made him drowsy and bland feeling. He often tried to vocalize this to his mother and sister, but they never understood. "It's okay, Blue. That's just the side effects," His mother had said, "It will get better as it starts to kick in."
"I know, Blue," Rouge had said, "I hate the way you get on your meds, too. But you have no choice but to take them."
Rouge did have a point. No matter what, he had to take them. If he went cold turkey, he would find himself in a whirlwind of emotions. He would be tired, depressed, craving the pills for sweet relief. It was messing with his head, indeed. He never wanted this to be such a blockade in his life. "I-I'm sorry." The boy stuttered, "I'm not feeling well today." -
Apologies I fell asleep xD
but yeah
they gonna save each other
His suspicions were confirmed. Liam paused for a short while, contemplating just what he could do to make Blue feel even a tiny bit better. The boy wanted to give him a warm hug, let him know that things were going to be okay, but knew that that most likely wouldn't be of much service. His eyes wandered. He wasn't sure what he could do at all. He sighed softly, setting his arms on the table. He gave a sad nod of understanding. He wished the Blue didn't have to take the medication, but he knew that he had to.
His uncle always warned him about the dangers of prescribed medications. He said that if he ever was forced into taking them, don't ever go off of them until he was permitted to. Withdrawal was one of the most painful things a human could experience and he always drew the fact that he would never wish it onto anybody. Whenever he had to take a different pill, they would ween him off of the ineffective version. The time the man would spend vomiting, shaking, and crying was one thing Liam couldn't erase. It was that man and what we went through that convinced his parents to keep Liam off of anything a doctor claimed he needed.
He saw that coming back to compare to Blue's situation. If things were terrible without the pills, then perhaps it really was for the best. At that moment however, witnessing the boy so dazed was upsetting. The brunette couldn't help but be overcome with the wish to fix his problems and make him feel okay. -
Yesh and its gonna be sooo cute
Blue was clearly quite out of it. "I- I need to remind my neurologist and my psychiatrist to give me more meds. These are ineffective, I need a higher dose or something. God, I feel like I'm high." Despite the large amount of antidepressants in his bloodstream, Blue was beginning to go on that downward slope. He was becoming sadder and sadder, more and more tired. Blue contemplated going to the nurse's office for a moment, but immediately decided against it.
The next moment, he was becoming anxious. His heart raced, threatening to jump out of his chest. He felt like he was dying; struggling for breath. 'It's all in your head, Blue, all in your head..' He told himself. Blue took slow breaths, sitting back in his chair. He saw Rose sign Liam, unsure of what she said. There was no way he could be aware that she was telling him, He's not usually like this, though. But he could read the expression of concern on their faces. Blue felt like he was causing a scene, being too selfish, he hated it. "I'm fine.." He assured.
But he wasn't okay. He felt like he was having a heart attack, like all of his life was being sucked out of his body. Like his breath was being pulled out of his lungs and back into the air. His throat was dry, his body trembling slightly. At that moment, he knew he wasn't fine.
He was far from it.
^that hurt to write -
nnnnphhhh I'm scared for him DX
He didn't need Blue to say he wasn't fine to know it. Liam signed off in a hurried, distressed fashion, I'll get him to the nurse or something. He doesn't look good at all. Liam stood from his spot, stepping directly next to Blue. He linked his hand around the boy's arm, gesturing for him to stand. He mouthed the words, "You need help." He hoped the the other would come with him and allow him to put his efforts through. Though he had only met the boy that day, he felt obligated to take care of him and make sure he was safe. He didn't force anything just yet and decided he would let Blue choose whether or not to let him in.
While he stood there, he made sure that they weren't drawing too much attention. He'd come to realize that most teenagers their age had the tendency to mind their business when the main event was anything but a fight. In Montana, there was an incident it which a boy had been bleeding profusely from his ear, holding it with a grimace smacked onto his face. No one had exactly gone to see what was the matter except Marina. She'd guided him to the nurse, something that none of the kids would have done. When a brawl broke out between two girls feuding over a boy or two boys going at it, everyone was suddenly interested in them.
It was never pleasant. Here, he would be for Blue what Marina was for that boy. He would guide him to the nurse or anywhere that Blue deemed best. Liam shot back into real time, waiting for a response from his friend. -
It's funny
I don't even have a plan for what's going to happen
Blue stood, but shook his head. He only was able to make out the world "help" from Liam's speech. "I'm fine, Liam." He rasped out. The platinum haired boy was almost too shaky to stand. 'What's the point?' He thought, 'I'm really not fine..'
What Blue didn't know, though, was what was actually happening. The antidepressants he was given were inducing anxiety disorder. In taking so many pills, he had slowly began to slip into mini panic attacks. Blue hadn't noticed them, or merely passed them off as medication side effects. Until now, he had hardly noticed it. He hadn't been abusing the antidepressants, but they had simply not agreed with him.
He needed them, though. He couldn't feel right without his thrice daily dosage of the potent drugs. 'Don't be above getting help, Blue,' He tried telling himself, 'You need it.' How embarrassing this was. To be having such a psychotic breakdown in front of his friend on the first day knowing him.
Blue attempted to sit down, but his legs were so shaky he had nearly collapsed. His eyes flashed with terror, "What is this?" He looked to Rose, she'd know the most about it.
"Blue, you're having a panic attack." Rose told him, quietly.
"W-why? How do I fix it?" The boy sputtered, afraid.
"I-i don't know.." She admitted, frowning. The others were speechless, their faces that of concern. Blue looked down to Liam, not even trying to shroud his obvious terror. -
do we ever actually have plans
It
was
just
like
his
Uncle.
Liam had a plan. The nurse would only be in the way if he attempted to bring Blue to her office. He knew he would be unable to bring the taller to the bathrooms as he would get lost in the process. He had to do it, he assumed that it would be the simplest, most effective way to fix what was taking place. As he had done with his Uncle at his fourteenth birthday party, Liam made complete eye contact with Blue before wrapping his arms around him. He didn't care if anybody saw. It was such a jump for him. It usually took an extended period of time for Liam to be all touchy feely, let alone embrace someone the way he was doing right then.
He wished he could talk. He wished he could whisper all the things that he'd heard his aunt say to make everything better. He hated his disability for a split second and he scolded himself for even thinking that it was a curse. He hoped that was he was doing was acceptable and wwouldn't make Blue's condition.
He could feel his own heart pounding due to the intensity of the situation. It was somewhat of a gift to have known his uncle even with schizophrenia. It showed him the proper way to comfort those who were in the middle of an episode. -
Who needs plans
Figure it out as ya go along
Blue's body was shocked. His mind was shocked. Although he felt severely detached from his surroundings, he fought to remain aware of them. Five senses. He told himself. Focus on what's going on. Blue took in his surroundings- which consisted of mainly Liam. He's short, shorter than I am. He smells sweet, sort of like mandarin oranges. His clothes are soft, and his body warm against my own. I'm sweating, I hope he doesn't notice. I'm mortified. How will I ever live this down? This is embarrassing. I want to leave. I hate the way I am. Sometimes I think I'd be better off-
His thoughts were cut off from a sudden burst of euphoria. Bright, colorful emotions. His eyes were shut, and many shapes and colors fluttered under his eye lids. He was on such a drug trip, and he couldn't even fight it. His body slowly began to calm down, opening his eyes again. Blue still saw colorful shapes floating around the air, and they fascinated him.
All these meds I'm taking, they'll be the end of me. Sometime the psychiatrist will f--- up and I'll overdose. I'll slip into a coma. Things won't be okay. They're not okay. His thoughts returned. He began to shake again. Up and down and up and down. Rapidly. This would continue for a while, he thought. He just wanted it to end. "Why can't this be over.." He murmured, weakly. -
eggsactly
Liam had always been able to create a weak "sh" like most people. He zeroed in on the person he was embracing, having to push himself up a tiny bit in order to make this specific noise. As he did so, he used his fingertip to very cautiously comb through the back of Blue's hair. He was overstepping his own boundaries when it came to other people in terms of time. It was peculiar, in his opinion, that he was allowing himself do that. He shook his head. He knew exactly why, but he wasn't going to admit it. He continued to shush the taller boy, praying that the new action would do more to calm him.
He could only imagine what he was feeling. He'd never even taken Aspirin, nevermind what the doctor that had been assigned to Blue had prescribed. Liam was usually level headed, down to earth, but in that moment, he was I'm a fury. He did not allow any of that to show, however. Instead, he continued to focus on the task at hand. He didn't care about their surroundings. He didn't care who saw him do anything. He didn't care. All he wanted to do was put his new friend in a more peaceful state of mind.
It was an effort to control himself, to stay at that special point where he was only shushing and combing, shushing and combing. To the boy's statement, he wasn't sure what he could possibly do. Once again, he wanted to make him aware of he fact that all the negative and ominous feelings would soon stop pestering him. He couldn't tell him that, however, and remained doing all that he could. -
What's happening to blue happened to me a few times
I was really hooked up on amphetamines and I woke up thinking I was dying I couldn't breathe
Blue sighed quietly, resting his head on the other boy's shoulder. He let himself daze off again, a strong wave of fatigue hitting him. The strong realization hit him that he would be taking a trip to the doctor's tonight, and would probably be taken out of school before the next period. He knew one of the teachers on lunch duty was bound to question why Liam was holding him. One of the boys at the table would likely tell the situation as it was. He would then go into the nurses office and wait for an ambulance.
"I'm making a scene, I'm sorry." He could cry. He felt like an attention whore. He hated it when other people fussed over him. Some people had it so much worse than he, and yet, here he was. Pathetically in a boy's arms, a boy's arms of whom he had just met. It was the only comfort he had, as his entire body rebelled against himself due to the chemicals in his bloodstream. The touch shared between the two was tender, full of emotion. He felt terrible. "I'm sorry, so sorry. You shouldn't have to do this, I'm not normally like this.." The boy coughed, finding himself more and more drowsy.
Please don't pass out, please don't pass out. He rebelled against every nerve ending in his body that decided it was time to sleep. His vision began to darken, to which he squeezed his eyelids shut, in attempt to put pressure on his eyes. The air was stiff and hot. He could hardly breathe. This was the worse thing the boy had ever experienced. -
oh my goodness xC that's really f---ing scary
He shook his head in response to Blue's rambling. He nibbled his top lip, realizing that Blue's condition was entirely disparate from his Uncle's. He felt as though he had failed completely in doing what he felt was owed. It was clear that Blue was starting to fade and that fact terrified him. He wasn't sure that this was a job that he could really, truly handle. He knew that time was going away fast and if he didn't find a final resort, things could escalate more than they already had.
As he tried to hold the boy up, a figure in his peripheral vision caught his eye. He recognized the person as Mr. Gordan, the amiable gym teacher he'd met earlier in the day. The man's face was riddled with worry and upset, trying desperately to determine what was taking place. He reached the group in a few seconds, pointing to Blue. His mouth opened and closed a few times as if he was unsure as to what to say.
"What's going on here? Do you need the nurse? I can get her!" Liam opened his mouth, but shook his head, looking to the teenagers that sat at the lunch table. He prayed that they knew course of action to take. He was biting the inside of his cheek in a fit of his own worry. -
Never drink too much cough syrup or take too many Advil
Adam was the boy to speak up. "Yes, I do believe the nurse would be appropriate." His voice was completely calm, and that bothered Blue. He hated when people pretended when everything was okay. Wait- didn't he do that? Hypocrite. These were his last few thoughts before he suck into a lump of unconscious flesh.
The next thing he experienced was a bright, glaring light and endless chatter. His back was aching. His neck hurt. The lights hurt his eyes. He found himself in a glaringly white room that smelled pungent of bleach and blood. He almost puked. "f---.. What's going on?" He asked, glancing up to see a doctor.
"You were unconscious. You had a panic attack."
"H-how does that happen?"
"Overdose of medication, likely. Be honest with me, Blue. Did you take more medication than designated?" The doctor asked him. This took Blue a while to recall. "L-let me think.." He said, furrowing his brow as he tried to recall the earlier events.
"Y-yes, in the morning I did." Blue recalled taking about twice as many anti depressants in the morning as he was supposed to. He had been really sad the previous day, and wasn't feeling much better when he woke up. So he figured a bit more bliss wouldn't hurt. Turns out, the effects weren't present until he added more chemicals into his blood stream.
"W-what now?" The blond haired boy asked, his hair in a mess. His eyes were sunken, his face pale. He didn't look healthy.
"I don't know, Blue. We may have to put you in a mental institution for suicidal tendencies. I'll be calling your mother in a minute. Anyone you'd wish to contact? Friends at school, anything?" The boy nodded in reponse, writing down the names of the two students he wished to visit him. Rose Gondalez and Liam Somners.
"They'll be right over when school ends to visit you, I'll inform they and their parents you'd like to see them."
