okay looks that was really cute

my quiz is so mlg B)
A few tears found their way out of his eyes and ran down his cheeks like the raindrops on a car window. The noise made him want to plug his ears but he knew that he couldn't. As soon as the other boy embraced him, he gasped, almost melting into the touch. Something about it almost immediately caused him to almost regain all of his composure. He'd heard the boy recite his own fear but decided that he not do anything to respond to it. He wasn't positive if he'd meant to say it and so he wouldn't dwell on it.
Each clap of thunder made him want to bawl. Eventually, he heard his friend say a rather amusing joke and that helped to regain his focus. He chuckled and smiled at Blue, furiously wiping at his own face to get rid of his tears. He wondered why it had been so easy for the person he'd only met in the morning to placate his fears. That usually was only possible with people that Liam knew closely and held incredibly close.
With Blue, things were different. He already trusted him to the point that he did his family. It flummoxed him, really, that he was so cozy with the other teen. It made his stomach squeeze and pull with a multitude of feelings that he wasn't exactly used to. He mouthed a thank you to Blue, his tears beginning to disappear. -
Us over here fangirling about fictional characters we created
XD
But noooo poor Liam breaks my heart with all of his emotions.. He's so perfect asdfjalejajakdhskal
Blue rest his head on the other's head, trying to serve as a umbrella for the other boy as they walked through the rain. He felt a little silly, indeed. But he couldn't deny his own connection to the boy. Since Blue was so much taller, he did everything he could to ensure that Liam wasn't touched by the storm. He practically coiled his body around the smaller boy, a slight grin spreading across his face. His face was a pale pink, but he didn't think much about the blood cells migrating to his face. It didn't bother him.
"I'm sorry, this walk is super long." The quiet boy apologized, being careful not to let the boy trip over his shoes. Blue was pigeon toed, so he had to be careful how he walked, not to run into Liam. He had already ran into him once today, he didn't need that happening again. Not at all.
They soon made their way into the school, and Blue immediately distanced himself. Awkwardly, the boy let his hands fall back to his sides, chuckling a little. Like a dog, the boy shook off his soaking wet hair, and pushed it back. It was one of the rare times the boy was seen without the ridiculously thick fringe he had. It was, indeed, a sight. -
the joy of soaping I swear
The sixteen year old peered at Blue's hair for a moment, his puffy eyes zoning in on it. He tried to compare the wet hair with the dried hair. Not exactly succeeding in deciding which one he liked better, he shrugged. It was peculiar to him that Blue had broken away seemingly as soon as they'd passed the barrier of the doors and the outside world. He didn't care to ask someway or another as the boy most likely had his own personal reasons for his actions. He pat his stomach, apologizing to it for making it go through so many things in one day. His belly was almost like his warning center for him. It informed him of anxiety, hunger, and upset all the same. By being mute, he'd taught other parts of his body to do what was necessary.
Now he grabbed onto his backpack straps, gripping them almost so tightly that his knuckles may have started to turn white if he went any further. He looked to Blue innocently, waiting patiently for him to lead the rest of the way to the cafeteria. He felt bad for coming across as so needy and did not wish for Blue to think that he was attention seeking. That isn't who he was and he was trying his best to stay acceptable so that he just wouldn't lose his new friend so fast.
That also made him wonder if he'd ruined the castle of friendship he'd built with Marina. Had his one, seemingly innocuous action been the cannon ball that destroyed the empire? He sure didn't want it to be. He would have texted her, would have given anything for a response. In reality, he wasn't so sure that he should anymore. Marina obviously was angry enough to push him away like she was, so he deemed it best to ignore the situation for the moment. -
Yas yas all dem feels
Blue's locker, luckily, was right on the way to the cafeteria. He grabbed his water bottle and shoved his backpack in his locker. He grabbed the pills out of his pocket, taking the biggest ones individually, and the smallest ones three to five at a time. In three minutes or so, both the pills and the water was gone.
"Alright, sorry about that," He said, disposing of the plastic bag in a nearby trash, "The cafeteria is just up here." He pointed to a large, two door entrance down the hall. The doors were glass, and had large handles to push on to open them. These were made of steel.
He led Liam down to the cafeteria, automatically opening the door for him. He didn't even have to think twice about this; he was taught from a young age the importance of being polite. Although it was a more subconscious action than conscious, the fact that he was his new friend definitely influenced that decision. He wanted to present himself in the best light possible, while being completely honest about himself.
After all, Blue didn't much like people who lied about themselves and made themselves look perfect. Blue enjoyed those who were honest about their vices and virtues, and that's the type of person he arrived to be. Ever since the move, he had been trying his hand at self improvement.
As the boy glanced into the cafeteria, he saw many people, not shockingly, were already seated at the colorful circular tables. His friends, were all the way in the back of the room, and he made sure to wave as he passed through the doors. They smiled, waving back. Blue quietly pointed out to Liam which table was the one his friends resided at. -
feelios
Liam tried to pinpoint exactly why Blue had to take so much medication. It brought him to his parents, the ones always complaining about how America was so medicated. He shook it off. Good people like Blue must have really needed whatever they were required to take. He thanked him for being so polite as to hold the door for him. It was very gentleman like and Liam held his highest respects for actions such as that. He itched at the back of his neck, anxious as to how meeting Blue's friends would go. He held the conviction that they would be just as great as the platinum haired individual, but he couldn't help feeling like his should guard himself just in case.
His head was spinning with all the different scenarios that were possible of playing out. Maybe he would run up to the table, introduce himself in sign, steal a carrot. He made a face. That would be ridiculous and would make him look rude. Maybe he would give everyone a handshake, smile, try to talk a little in sign. He puffed out a tiny breath of air. In Montana, his only friend was Marina. Here, he already had one. Making more seemed like a challenge that he should have trained for.
Then he imagined himself in a training suit, his father being the coach. The man had a hardhat on for some outlandish reason. All he could hear were whistles. "Shake their hand!" his dad screamed over and over and Liam rushed to meet people. In real time, Liam had to refrain from bursting into his laugh. He bobbed his head in the direction of Blue's friends, signaling that he was prepared to meet them. -
And then there are these random side convos you have while soaping
Blue nodded, understanding. He walked over to the table, where four people sat at. Two girls, and two guys. Rose said hello to Liam by waving, and the rest followed suit. She smiled gently to him. "Ah, we need chairs," Blue realized. He quickly ran off to grab two blue chairs from the stack of chairs in the other corner.
Meanwhile, many of his friends introduced themselves. Some in sign, others vocally. They also said it was fine for him to talk in sign, as they had Rose and the other girl, Nadia. Nadia was mixed black and white, and she kept her frizzy hair in a low, messy bun. She explained that she and Adam, one of the boys sitting there, were dating. Adam had dusty blonde hair that was quite long, and tied into a short ponytail. The other boy, Charlie, had bright, dyed red hair. It was like flames rising from his head. He was quite hyper, and was an extremely fast talker.
Blue soon came back, sliding a chair to Liam and sitting on his own. He opened his lunch, which contained a sandwich, mandarin oranges, a piece of cake, lemonade, pineapple and a small salad. All of which he liked very much. The sandwich was a simple subway veggie delite sandwich, his favorite.
"I pack my lunch," Blue explained, "But I'm assuming you'll have hot lunch?" He asked. The cafeteria food was quite good- but Blue didn't like much the small portions and lack of his favorite food group- fruit. So, he packed a lunch every day. He had to do so on the weekend, in advance, preparing a paper bag full of food for every day. Each was labeled in swirly cursive which day it was designated for. And, of course, this bag was labeled "Monday". -
which are always great tbh xP
Liam signed his greetings as well as gaside, few waves. He thanked the group by mouthing the words as he had done many times with Blue thus far. He had to think for a moment about how to go about hot lunch. He placed his backpack and jacket on his chair, signing that he would return shortly. Being independent used to be one of his best qualities, and because he didn't want Blue to think he only needed him for help around the school, he deemed it best to go off by himself. He didn't think that salad qualified as hot lunch, and so he searched for the line that would cater to his dieting habits.
He eventually spotted a line that had cold sandwiches and ... salad! He hurried into it and thankfully for him, there weren't many people in the same area as himself. It was set up almost like the sandwich bar at Subway. He had a few choices of a base, such as romaine lettuce or spinach. He scooped spinach into the hard plastic salad bowls that the school provided. From there, he chose a variety of different vegetables into the bowl...carrots, onions, the works! He smiled.
Someone bumped his shoulder out of nowhere. He cocked his head to the side, finding a girl about an inch taller than him with chestnut brown hair and stabbing hazel eyes staring at him. He gave a small wave, continuing along. He added a few drizzles of ranch dressing to his bowl and right before he could supply himself with napkins and a fork, she nudged him again. He let out a breath of air, raising an eyebrow at her. She bit down hard on her bottom lip. In an attempt to sound sexy, she said,
"So, you're the new kid? I'm Talia. This.." She raised a tiny slip of white paper to his face, placing it in the most dry area of his salad bowl. She sashayed away. Liam reached down and opened the slip, finding that she'd written her number. He stuck his tongue out, setting the slip into the nearest trashcan. He signed out of the line by pounding his lunch code in. His parents had already put money into his account for that day, because, like Blue, he usually packed his lunch.
He walked through the different pathways in order to make it back to the table, setting the salad bowl down while he took his seat. Liam waved to the people he'd just met. -
Very true lol :3
They all waved back, looking at him with gentle curious out. However, both Blue and Rose kept their eyes low, beginning to eat. Nadia signed "Tell us about yourself." While the other kids had plenty of questions to ask, Blue and Rose had none that they vocalized. Blue had plenty- in fact, he had a lot of questions.
Where are you from originally? Do you have any pets? What's your favorite band? What do you do for fun? What shows do you watch? Where do you live currently? What's your favorite vacation destination? Do you know much about computers? Do you read a lot? And the list went on. Of course, Blue also wanted to know what caused Liam to be mute- brain damage, vocal cord damage, aphasia? Blue knew it couldn't be aphasia, the boy could read and write perfectly. He knew this question was severely impolite, and a social no-no.
Blue liked the boy a lot so far. However, he didn't know much about him at all. He was a tad too shy to ask Rose to sign for him the questions he had. This was until she whispered to him, "You have questions, Blue. What are they? I'll sign them to him." Blue rattled off a few questions; What shows does he watch? Where does he live? What does he do for fun? What's his favorite band? Does he have pets? Rose nodded, rattling them off in sign language. -
x3 yus
Liam took a few scoops of his salad before really paying attention to their questions. It was almost like they had an machine gun and were firing the questions as quickly as possible. He bit on his lip for a few seconds before raising his hand in order to answer their questions. He signed the answers to the questions Rose had given, to start.
I don't really watch television anymore...but when I did, it was shows like Courage the Cowardly Dog, Invader Zim, Dexter's Laboratory. They were really fun to watch and I like them when I watch them in my free time. I watch them still, just not as much. I live just a few a minutes away from the school. I lived in Montana before this. It was pretty nice there. I love nature and so that was a great state for me to live in. We lived in Vermont before that. I hated it there. We had a hurricane when I was there and just..ew.
For fun, I like to read and write. I write a lot of poems and short stories. I'm into mystery. I like putting the puzzle pieces together. Lots of fun, ya know? My favorite band is Evanescence. I like Amy Lee's voice. Really haunting. I have a therapy dog because of my little speech problem. I stopped needing him as a therapy dog a while ago, so he's just kind of a family pet, now. I also have a fish tank in my room. And I have a bunny. His name is Theo. He's really cool.
He turned his head to Nadia, chuckling silently. I suppose that that was a little about myself, yeah? -

Fun fact
Blue is based off of this one kid I know and L from Death Note cx
Nadia explained what Liam had said to Charlie and Adam, and Rose explained what he had said to Blue. Blue chuckled. "I suppose you'd want to know more about the rest of us, huh?" Blue asked, "It's unfair for us to know all about you and you nothing about us." It was true. It would be hard, he realized, to create a strong bond with Liam when they had a communication issue.
Now, he realized, he would have to learn sign language for his new friend. It would make things easier, he realized. Blue, luckily, had plenty of resources. He could download e books, take lessons with apps, and check out books from the library. But most of all, he had his childhood friend Rose to teach him.
He would ask her later. Hopefully she wasn't too busy to teach him.
Blue was tapping his foot quietly, but at a very fast pace. His medicine had given him a new jolt of energy, and the sugar he was consuming wasn't helping. He knew that the medicine would wear off before the end of the school day, sadly. He had no idea how he would stay conscious while with Rose at the library. Perhaps he'd drink an energy drink? Something caffienated.
Thinking about his after school plans, he quietly considered inviting Liam to go with them. It would give Liam a chance to see the rest of the town, and check out the library's stock. If he liked books, he'd love their library's selection. -
YO L IS A MOTHAf---IN G
Liam's face flushed at this statement. He nodded vigorously, spreading his arms out wide as if to tell he group to tell him about themselves. He ate more of the salad as he waited for them to speak. He didn't want to seem unfair, giving all that information but not receiving any. It made him somewhat self conscious about all that he said, in all honesty. He crossed his ankles over each other under the table, something he typically did when he was nervous. He could feel his phone vibrating in his pocket. Though he had a strong desire to check the message, to see if it was Marina apologizing, but he did not want to be disrespectful, and so he left it be.
It bothered him that he was thinking so much about Marina. He made a silent vow not to so much as let her image cross his mind to prevent himself from becoming upset. He eyed each of the people in the group, trying to determine who might speak first. He would easily get a feel of who was outgoing and who was sheepish based upon the interactioms that they would have at that moment. He wanted to smile, to be his giddy, elated self. He just did not want to appear to be overexcitable and less likable because of it. -

._. Why tf did that happen omg

L is my s---e
Blue was he first one at the table to speak. "I love computers. I dedicate my life to them, as you may know. I love learning new things, so I take hard classes in school. My favorite animal is the duck, my mom had a duck when we lived in Lousiana. I may have a small accent still, but I have adapted pretty well. My mom and dad split up when I was a child- I don't know why. I take medication for ADD, hypersomnia and depression. I love editing pictures on the Internet, I'm a decent graphic artist. My favorite band is Guns n Roses. I love old rock." A lot of the things he said were pretty obvious, but Blue had no idea what to say.
Next, Charlie spoke. He explained that he was an identical twin, and his sister, his twin, was more popular than he. He talked about how he was a lot like Blue, but worked more with designing video games than what Blue did, which was design computer software. He said he respected Blue for his infinite knowledge of programming and coding and talked about how he looked up to him. Nadia talked about her love of animals and science. She was quite smart in medicine related sciences, not just animal sciences. Adam talked about how he loved music, and talked about all of the music he loved. Rose spoke last. She explained she loved writing and reading, and Shakesphere was a favorite. She explained she didn't like speaking, so she learned sign language. She also knew Japanese.
After everyone had spoken, there was a moment of silence. They all seemed quite content. Blue had hoped he had came off as appealing to Liam- he wanted to find as much in common with him as possible. He quietly asked Rose if it was okay if he asked Liam to go to the library with them. She nodded, and said, in her low voice, "of course." She smiled warmly, and Blue proceeded to invite Liam with them. -
yes omg death note was the sauce is like seventh grade xD
Also sorry for shortish responses these last two turns
Though he completely absorbed everybody's short proclamation of who they were and what they were interested in, he really focused on what Blue had said. He found him the most intriguing out of the bunch for some odd reason. Nothing his said was too out of the ordinary, but he found himself attracted to him more than the others. He signed, You all seem really awesome. Nice to meet you! He shoveled more of his salad into his mouth, trying to fill his stomach before the next period.
Liam had known that he was more drawn to boys than girls from a young age. He never exactly held romantic feelings towards anybody, however. But there was just something about him that was pulling him in all too fast. Was it possible for someone to make him feel so head over heels so easily? He wasn't sure. He'd never been in a relationship on any previous occasion. How was he supposed to know?
He smiled in response to the offer, nodding almost directly after it was brought to the table. He signed, Sure. Just have to let my parents know.
