He blinked slowly, before a wide grin grew on his face. "You just brought on a war." He scooped up a large pile and formed it into a medium sized ball. He grinned at her and hurled the medium sized ball at her and waited to see how she would react. It was odd, he was having fun in the snow, well usually he glared at snow grudgingly from the window.
-
She squealed and ran, but couldn't get very far due to the thickness of the snow. It hit her butt as she hid behind a tree. "Come on!" she called, peeking out from behind her hiding place as she brushed off the remnants of the snowball.
-
He snuck around silently, not making a noise in the snow or even making a noise period. He already had two things of ammo in his hands as he started to appear behind her. He smirked and threw both of them at her back, which really he felt like a child right now, but that didn't bother him.
-
Elaine gasped and turned, scooping up a handful of snow and chucking it at him. Eventually, after realizing she couldn't escape, she scooped up a pile of snow as she headed toward him. She threw the snow at him, but fell, landing on top of David in the snow. Her eyes widened, and she stared at him in surprise for a second before apologizing and standing back up.
-
A large blush had spreaded across his face when she landed on him after he fell. The snow covered him almost from head to toe. He sat up slowly, but the snow still clung to him and he smirked, pulling her down back into the snow, causing it to fly everywhere. "I believe...that's called payback?"
-
She gasped at the sudden coldness and batted some snow onto him. "Yes. That's payback." Elaine then rolled over and stared up at the grey sky, amazed by the tranquility of the forest around her. She let out a happy sigh. "David?"
-
He glanced over at her. "Yeah?" He was curious about what she wanted to know. The snow on him had already started to melt off, leaving his hair a bit damp.
-
"I can see why you like it out here. It's gorgeous." She smiled at him. The forest really was beautiful, especially when covered in a thick layer of snow. But she wanted to explore more of it. She stood and offered him a hand. "Do you want to keep going? I'd love to see more of the woods."
-
He nodded lightly in agreement about the beauty of the forest, but was slightly
hesitant of taking her hand, before he finally took her hand. "I'm surprised you're not cold at this point." Although he felt fine, like a warm fire. "If you want to still explore we can." -
"I'm a little cold. But not too cold to explore." It was a lie, she was freezing. And oddly enough, his hand was toasty warm. There was no way his body heat was naturally high like that, especially in such cold weather. But she was reluctant to let go of it, so she didn't. "Do you mind if I hold your hand, though? It's really warm."
-
He grippes onto her hand, not hard enough for it to hurt her, but just to keep her hand warm. He didn't really want to argue with her, clearly she was cold, her hand felt like ice, but again he didn't want to argue with her. "I...don't mind." He didn't have to hide the slight blush that formed on his face, but he really didn't truly care. He started walking through the snow, still with a hold on her and hoping she could keep up.
-
She kept up easily, her eyes exploring the endless beauty of the forest. She, of course, did peek over at her host for a moment, noticing the blush creeping across his cheeks, evidently not from the cold like hers. But really, was he blushing at their holding hands? It was almost unbelievable how innocent he was... or perhaps old-fashioned was a better way to describe his actions. In fact, looking at him now, it seemed that he'd pulled straight from an antique photograph, the blush on his cheeks and the pigment of his skin providing some sort of proof that the world had been more than just black and white in his time. It sounded like some horror story, but was it possible that he was frozen in time, in a way? Hoping he didn't notice her expression, she stared up at the branches above them, pausing at one of the tree trunks. The same thick grooves on his door last night were on the tree, cutting through the bark and exposing that it was already very much dead. Elaine shivered involuntarily.
-
As they walked through the forest, David actually felt calm for a moment, it was nice to actually feel calm again. The blush on his cheek hadn't gone away, but he silently cursed at himself because of his actions. He felt like he actually was years, many years younger that what he truly was. He glanced at her for a second, seeing her expression, before she glanced away to look at the branches. He poked her with his other hand gently. "why were you staring?"
-
There was no way she could actually tell him. It would either ruin everything, or make him think she was crazy. How quickly could she make up a lie? "Oh, uh... no reason," she said, adding a smile at the end that may have come off as nervous. Great. That made it worse.
-
He stopped and finally turned his head full to look at her. "You're lying, I can tell." He saw her nervous smile and huffed. "I don't like when people lie to me..."
