Though she claimed she would be fine by herself, Janette stayed close to Philip, though she let go of his hand in favor of her sword. The ship seemed empty, she didn't see the problem. Couldn't they just pass it?
-
Philip made his way to a cabin area, more like a study looking. A desk say messy with maps and various papers. He sheathed his sword, and picked one up, it being a map of Singapore. "Well then." He said quietly to himself. "Found a body, Captain. Won't be a pretty sight." Called a crew member.
-
Jantte shivered at the thought of a dead body. Before Philip could respond, though, she found herself asking, "How long does it look like it's been there?"
-
He scanned the room once more. "Uh, I'm not sure since I haven't seen it, but I'll ask. I don't belive you want to see it, do you?"
-
"..I don't think I do," She confirmed, glancing up at the man. "Go on and figure it out, though. There may be others."
-
"Ok. Stay here for now. I'll be back soon." He said before giving her a small kiss on her forehead, and leaving. The ship was much different than his. For one, it was larger, and cleaner with the exception of the boxes and crates. He found a group of his men standing around the body. The first thing that hit him was the potent stench. Philip pulled up his shirt over his nose to breath better. A torn and cut body of a male layed on the ground, missing a shirt.
-
Janette began to search the room she had been left in, and soon found a globe- It was smaller than Philip's had been, but if was nice, and well painted. She smiled, grabbing it, sheathing her sword.
-
-
"I know we are not in the position to get rid of this," Philip began. For a second he thought of report the body, but he concluded that he would get blamed and arrested. "So I'm thinking we should leave it here, but keep our guard up as we leave." The men responded with nods.
-
She found a door at the far left of the room, and opened it, peering it. There were stairs, and she assumed they lead to the crew's bunks, or something. Out of curiosity, she stepped down, one hand on her sword.
-
He lead the crew on deck, scanning their surroundings. The village in the distance seemed quiet and calm, like one of the ones that were sleepy towns. He ran a hand through his hair as he started to explore another cabin.
-
When she reached the bottom of the stairs, Janette found it to be pitch black, and wished for a candle or a lantern. She turned, going to head up the stairs, but found that the door leading up had been closed, and locked.
(someone needs to be in there with heeer) -
(Yee I got something :3)
A deep chuckle resonated as he ran a finger over his hook. "I saw your ship, Philip. Always did think you were better than me, huh?" He slowly walked over to Janette, unaware who it really was.
Philip felt as if he had seen this ship before, but he couldn't place the memory with the feeling in his gut. "Found another one. It's a female, and worse than the other guy!" Someone called out. He sighed and began walking to where the voice had called. -
Janette spun around at the voice, her foot hitting something, making her trip. She lost hold of the globe, and it rolled across the floor. Wincing, she pulled her sword out, getting to her feet. The man didn't know she wasn't Philip, and she knew he couldn't see her, and, therefor, he didn't know where she was. So, without saying anything, she backed up carefully.
-
The man stayed quiet for a moment, to catch the silence, then clicked his tongue. "Oh, Philip. I've grown wiser these past two years. They were long ones, you see. Quite painful too. Recovering and all." He took a step forward, clicked his tongue, then changed direction to where Janette stood. He may have been a few degrees off on where she stood, so he estimated.
