Ok let's make the charries
I know your name is Andi -
Yes, my name is Andi, but Jane is fine.
Alright. Give me a moment. -
Janette Howlbet
16
Complete sweetheart. Does well in her studies, and dreams of becoming a doctor, though there aren't many women in that field at this time. She was eight when her father's adopted her, and loves them both dearly. -
Philip Carney
21
Is basically a dick to anyone he doesn't know, but once you get to know him, he's really nice and all that. Kills with out a second thought or remorse.
This is his sword. -
(Ahhh, not it.)

The town was asleep as she walked to school, her books tucked under her arm, a wicker basket holding her lunch in her other hand. Not even the birds were awake and singing, and her path was covered in dew, glistening sharply in the sunlight.
Janette hardly noticed as the small wagon pulled up alongside her, drowning in her own thoughts as she was. It wasn't until her father called her name out that she noticed him. "Daddy? Why're you up so early?" She had a bit of an accent, as almost everyone in the town did.
"School is cancelled for today, Jana. Mr. Althro's is ill. Come on, I'll give you a ride back to the house."
She sat her books and lunch in the back, taking her fathers outstretched hand, using her other to lift her dress where it wouldn't be a hazard.
Janette liked her parents. David, the one she was riding with, was a handsome man, with salt-and-pepper hair, sun tanned skin, ocean-blue eyes. She had always called him "Daddy", though she called her other dad "Father." Being completely honest, she liked Father more. He was a skinny man, short, with a bird's nest for hair, one green eye, and one brown one. He was a smart man, a veterinarian, and liked by almost the whole town.
Janette considered herself lucky. She had two wonderful parents, regardless of the fact that the town didn't care for their marriage. -
Philip sat on deck, breathing the fresh scent of sea salt air. Today would be the day that he would raid another village, and possibly take a young lass for fun. He smirked at the thought. He then went to the crews bunks to wake them up, and tell them about their big day. Philip took a pan from a drawer, then a metal ledal, and started banging on it to awake the crew. "Wake up you smelly beasts. We're raiding a village today. The one up north, a few hours away." He announced. In response, he got groans and mumbles.
-
When she arrived home, Janette found her Father half asleep at the table, his forehead rested on the polished wood. "Father," The young lady mused, tapping his shoulder. "Come on, let's go take care of the animals."
As they fed the livestock and checked the fence, Janette rambled on about what she had planned for the day. "Of course, my chores. And piano with Mrs. Martha at five. But before that, I want to go see Thomas. Can I, Father?" The still half-asleep man nodded, yawning as he closed the gate behind them. Thomas was Janette's fiance, whom she was going to marry in the spring. -
His second man in command emerged from the cabin just moments after he had left. "Ready for duty, sir." Eric said, with excellent posture and neatness. Philip laughed and waved a hand in the air. "Calm down, my boy. I know It's early, but we still have some time to eat and plan, and what not." He said, turning away. Eric loosened up and chuckled lightly with Philip. "Ok, I see." He responded, running a hand through his black hair. "But before you go, tell Matilda I'd like scrambled eggs today. And I want it fully cooked." Philip said, still facing the sea. Eric nodded and scurried off. Philip didn't necessarily have a home, but he considered the ship his house and his crew his mates. As a young boy, he would dream of being a Pirate, just like his Father. The great Captain Carney was a wise man and lived long before The Strom got to him. Philip closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

They returned to the house to find David clearing breakfast off the table, and getting ready to make bread. Janette exchanged a goodbye, and left the house, heading into the heart of town, her dress dragging in the dust of the road.
Thomas' house was large, but it held his eight-person family, and his father's barber shop in the front. The man of the house answered when Janette knocked on the door, and she quickly asked for Thomas.
Thomas was a nice looking fellow- Blond, green eyed, and tall. Any girl would be lucky for that, but most of all, Janette loved his sense of humor, and how kind he was towards everyone. -
He could imagine the storm in the distance engulfing his Father's ship Irony. Captain Carney called his shop that because he thought life was ironic. And that life was related to your own person metaphor. Young Philip would ask his Dad. "Have you found your metaphor?" Captain would nod. "What is it then?" The Captain would laugh and say, "I can't tell you." Philip would simply narrow his eyes and stop away. He was not one to argue with his father, for he had the fear that one day, he would get hit. Philip cringed at the memory and started walking to the small eating area in the boat. All the crew were there, some eating, most talking, but as soon as Philip walked in, the noise died down to faint whispers.

Ship not shop*
Personal not person* -
Janette quickly invited Thomas for a walk through the down, and back, locking arms with him. She always enjoyed being around him with his care-free attitude. He was perfect, to her anyways.
Thomas always told her that, one of these days, they would have enough money to buy fancy dresses, like the one they were looking at through a window right now. Janette loved it- It was purple, like the simple one she was wearing, but.. Different. Better material. -
Stomp not stop* Ugh.
He sat next to Eric and started talking with the crew at his table. One man started the conversation. "I've heard that this town has fine ladies. The kind that care about their manners and how they look and all." He went on. "Now, this town is a nice town, no savages." He joked. Philip grinned and set his elbows on the table. "Really now?" He asked raising an eyebrow. The man nodded in suprise. "Then I might just fetch one my self." He said. The other men laughed. Matilda soon came and served his food. "Just the way you like it." She muttered before walking off. He gave her a fake smile. "As always." He said before digging in. -
After spending some time with Thomas, Janette took off towards the house, and set on her chores- She fed and watered the animals, swept the house and porch, did the dishes, and a few other things. Afterwards, she changed out of her dusty purple dress into a pale blue one, with a wider skirt. She pinned her hair up as well, frowning at herself in the small mirror in her room. She had always known she wasn't as pretty as some girls in town, but today.. She just felt like something was off.
