"Alright." He completely left, closing the door with a click. He hurried to the elevator, ignoring any other buzzes, beeps, or vibrations coming from his device. He hit the button a few times, relieved when it opened rather quickly. He slammed onto the key that would take him to the main floor.
The entire time the elevator moved, he tapped his foot anxiously. He needed to get out of the building and to the set, and fast, too. He would jump right into the cab, and he would make it. He knew he would. He always did. The only fear he had at that point was his manager's reaction to what had gone down.
His mind also drifted off to the wonders about how the paparazzi would put the story out. He expected something in the tabloids, magazines, or any of those publications that he saw his face in. -
He was, once again, found with nothing to do. His groceries were properly put away in the upper cabinets, Rosco was eating, and his temporary company had left. Which was expected, since he didn't think a famous actor who teenage girls thought was attractive would ever bother to waste time hanging out with him. Him, who stayed home all day because he had no real friends or nearby family. And his main weekly activity was going grocery shopping, and walking Rosco up and down the same streets. Over and over. For the past five years.
After patting the dog's back, he sighed, and guided himself along the wall until his shin bumped against the couch. There, he laid down, and took his sunglasses off. Which were actually pretty uncomfortable, as they hugged behind his ears oddly and left a red mark on the bridge of his nose. But they hid his eyes, a very necessary thing for going out in public. Eyes that were faintly blue, faintly grey. Including his pupils, where the blue-grey color was only slightly blackened. -
Once back in the parking lot, Chase grew perplexed. Where was the taxi cab? It had not left when he was going in, so where was it? f--- f--- f---. He panicked, searching around for the yellow vehicle. It had to be there, he didn't even pay! There was no way the driver would have let that slide!
But, unfortunately, the car was nowhere to be seen.
He grunted, infuriated. Now, he would have to call a new one and that would be an extra ten minutes than it needed to be, unless...Unless he finally used his starpower. He pulled off whatever would make him unrecognizable, dashing the the side of the street, flailing his arms for someone to stop. -
He dropped his sunglasses on the ground, and heard Rosco padding out of the kitchen. The dog leapt onto the couch, promptly curling up at the space between Cole's legs and the back cushions.
Like usual, Cole's windows were open. It gave a good dose of fresh air that he wouldn't otherwise have much of. Out of nowhere, though, he heard a high pitched screech, followed by a few more.
"Ohmy GOD! CHASE LANDON?" A girl screamed, as if she wouldn't be heard otherwise. She went sprinting down the sidewalk, he three friends following, mobbing the actor. It didn't take more than ten seconds of Chase shedding his disguise that a sizable crowd of wanna-be actresses, tourist girls, and paparazzi had all mobbed around the man. -
That's pretty much fandoms everywhere ever.
"No." He stopped in his tracks, staring at them all. This spelled disaster with a huge D. He had mot a clue of what he was supposed to do to get to a cab that had finally pulled over. He sighed, but then, an idea formed.
"Unless you don't want the next episode of Breaking Her Walls, I suggest you get out of my way." He was fuming only a bit. In his pocket, a series of notifications sounded out, and he knew exactly who it was. "And I'm being serious," he rose his voice in order for all of them to hear him. -
One of the girls looked utterly distraught, covering her mouth with her hands. "Are you going to quit?" She asked, starting another flurry of questions from the nosy cameramen.
"Does it have anything to do with your new partner?" One of them asked, stepping right in front of Chase to snap his photographs. -
"No, I'm not going to quit, they are going to write me off if I don't get there soon enough." He reeled back, not wishing to be so near to person. "He's not my partner, I just..helped him get his dog...back home." He was slow with his words, realizing what he had previously said.
-
Cole was long past trying to make much sense of all the noise coming from the sidewalk below the window. He stood up from the couch, sighing and walking to the opening in the wall, intending to shut the glass and go to sleep. But he heard a man shout, louder than the rest; "Look! He's up there!"
The blind man swallowed, slamming the window shut. Silently, he wished he had blinds, but he never had any reason for them so there weren't any. He just went back to his couch, and hoped they'd leave him alone.
All of the camera men had turned their attention any from Chase, and were instead practically trampling each other to get into the apartment building. The fangirls hung around by Chase, clinging onto him with hugs and tears. -
In the rage of the moment, Chase let out a frustrated laugh. "You guys obviously don't fuc-, don't care enough to move." Trying to squirm and push through the smaller group, he felt a twinge of guilt for Cole. He wouldn't have to go through this if some other person had helped him.
What was he thinking, actually believing that he would be able to help without any publicity? Truthfully, it was his fault for revealing himself. In his pocket, the same ringtone rang out. Chase felt around, shooting it up to his ear.
"Where the f--- are you?" Lyle barked, causing Chase to scoff.
"Kind of in the middle of trying to get to a cab. The people are insane!" The cab driver was getting antsy, and was very much considering leaving.
"Where are you?!" Chase ran off the address, and listened to what his manager told him. Just wait, let them do whatever, and his bodyguards and a limo would be there soon. Oh, so now it would seem like he was being saved. He waved his arm to dismiss the cab, who most gladly drove away, -
The fangirls were left completely undeterred by Chase's sudden attitude, wanting only to cling onto their idol. One of the girls, though, was trying to tug her friend away, having already realized that they were only bothering the actor.
Meanwhile, he camera men were in the lobby of the apartment building, and with a bribe, easily got one of the wanna-be actresses to show them the way upstairs to Cole's apartment. Rosco leapt off the couch when there was a knock at the door, managing to smash the black sunglasses that Cole had left on the ground in the process. The blind man scurried up to catch the dog, but it was too late; damn service dogs, he thought, while the black mass hopped up on two legs to pull the door handle down and open.
Even the dog seemed to regret the decision. He yelped when Cole heard camera flashes and question questions questions questions-- It was vastly overwhelming for someone missing one of their senses. Of course, he answered none of them, but that only made them more eager. -
ohmygosh The feels for poor Chase ;-;
Chase's head turned to the building, wondering if Cole was okay. He hadn't meant for any of this to happen, but he knew that he would be capable of making it up to him. He could only imagine how frightened the man must be. Quite possibly, he could send his guards up to hell him or to see if the paparazzi had managed to find him.
When Lyle said that they would be there soon, they weren't kidding. No longer than five minutes after he had placed the call, the sleek limo pulled over, followed by a darker van. From the van poured four guards, starting to push through the group to get to their celebrity client.
Chase could be nothing but thankful, and this group gave him an excuse as to why he was even later. His manager and team would surely understand. They would finish the episode and he would get his four-day break, just as planned. -

The girls were entirely pushed off by sercurity guards, all of them trying to push back and get past them to the actor. Of course, they couldn't, and they left only whining and crying. At the same time, another car pulled up to the curb. A modest, four-door red Toyota. The girl who got out of it was glaring at the scene, which was entirely blocking the doors to the building. She was lugging an enormous bag of heavy-breed adult dog food, and- well, to say the least, she was the spitting image of her brother. Same hair, only longer, and same fair skin. Her lips were creased in a frown. Her voice was the main difference between her and Cole- she had the heavy west coast valley girl speech. "Excuse me, can I please get in?"
Cole was standing in front of all these camera men, his eyes staring blankly off above their heads, which they didn't seem to care about. "Can you please go? I'll call the police, you can't be in here--"
"What's your name?" "It's Cole, look at the dog tag--"
"Hey, don't touch my dog!" -
As soon as Chase was safely put into the limo, he requested for the guards to go up to Cole's apartment to check on him. After a few moments, all of them agreed, pushing their way through the people. This was quite easy for them, as they were bulky and heavily-muscled thanks to top-knotch training. They were to listen to their clients orders word-for-word.
As the limo cautiously started to drive, Lyle cleared his throat. "Apologies for being so rude. It seems as though you would have been on time had it not been for a such a crowd." Chase was too busy worrying to listen to or even accept the apology, but his ears had registered what was said. It just wasn't fair. There were most likely a s---load of people bombarding Cole with the same questions he had answered.
This was enough to make him kick the seat in front of him in pure exasperation. He could not believe the misfortune brought on. -
Cole's sister, Anne, saw the actor get in the limo. She recognized him quickly as the guy from that one show that she was just slightly obsessed with, and from that romance movie where he rips off his shirt and- she was getting carried away. The guy's body guards were walking towards the building, so her instinct was to follow up right behind them, since they'd cleared the way. Once she was in the building, she went straight to the elevator to go see her brother.
The blind man upstairs had all but forgotten that Anne was going to be visiting that day, too busy panicking about people being in his apartment, touching his dog, yelling things at him and taking pictures.
