Rosco was affectionate; he'd already taken to laying on Cole's feet, resting his chin in the blind man's lap. Cole was equally so, and gently pet the scruffy dog's head while Chase spoke to the driver for a few moments.
"Oh, it's Cole.. 879 Upper Poliard Street, please," he requested, stating his name along with it. He lived in what was considered the slummier part of Los Angeles, where the less wealthy who were trying to hit it off in acting or talent scouting lived. For Cole, he only lived there because he could afford it on a wellfare check and his sister lived only an hour north. -
"Ya' got it. The fare'll be about twenty dollars from here. My daughter loves ya', by the way," he mentioned to Chase, who only nodded. He did try his best, most of the time, to be humble. Suddenly, the cab driver stuck his key into the ignition, the car starting with a low hum.
"Anything that ya' fellas like on the radio?"
Chase listened in for a response from Cole, as he was not going to make the decision with a civilian next to him. He felt that it was his choice, if he did want anything. Instead, he waved to the dog with a small smile. -
When the cab was silent for a few moments, Cole realized that he must have been meant to reply to it. "Oh, sorry.. How about 106.7? Is that alright?" His hand was occupied with the soft motion of petting Rosco, until he felt the dog move from under him.
Rosco had caught the gesture Chase had given, and immediately taken it as an offer for him to be pet. The service animal, though it was tough for a big dog in a small cab, turned around and pounced upward, putting his two front paws on Chase's lap. -
I shall be back in a little while. I have been asked to play basketball. .3.
The cab driver nodded, pleased with Cole's decision. "Ya' got it." He flipped through the stations, flinching when the sound of fuzz came through the channels that weren't picking up as well as the others. Once he landed on 106.7, he leaned back in the driver's seat, focusing on the road. He carefully weaved through the other cars, something that he had learned to do over the years.
Chase let out a small chuckle, lightly petting Rosco's head with one hand while doing the same with the other, except the animal's back. "Hi there," he greeted sweetly. -
*to the animal's
-
Okay ^^
Rosco was more than happy about this, and his heavy tail began swinging back and forth. The cab wasn't big enough to occupy it, so each time it swung it thwacked the back of the passenger seat.
Cole caught on easily that Chase was talking to Rosco this time, as there was little chance that the other would greet him like that at this point. "He's big on people. He knows that they'll pet him because he's a big softie," he stated of the dog, smiling slightly at the thought. -
That was the quickest it has gone. o_o
The cab driver peeked at that through the rearview mirror. "So, what're ya' two doin' out at this hour? Lotsa tourists." He wondered why Chase, the star of his daughter's favorite television show, was with this ordinary person in the back of his car. He usually just got snooty richies and idiot aspiring actresses who thought that they were top-knotch. He hated those ones the most. They always made him listen to their cheesy auditions.
"That's adorable." Too focused on Rosco, he accidentally disregarded the driver's question. His eas registered the sound, but he was unsure of what was actually said. -

Cole was better about registering what the cabbie had said, and responded to him first. "I was just out getting groceries. I usually walk." Rosco was growing exceedingly excited about how nice the stranger was, his paws bouncing back and forth playfully.
"Yah. I think I just pamper him too much," he said to Chase. -
"Ya' two wanna hear a story while yer' waitin'? I gots a few that would entertain ya for the time bein'." Chase glanced up at the driver, asking for him to go on with the story.
"Well, as long as it is fine with you," he mentioned to Cole. He played with Rosco's ears, making tons of playful baby faces. He remembered working with a small Australian Shepherd for Breaking Her Walls. It was of his favorite moments on the television program. -
Ahhh I thought I hit send like ten minutes ago dang ;-;
Cole nodded in agreement. A story sounded like a rather decent way to pass the time, at least. "Sure, I'd like that."
He heard a tell tale huff- Rosco took a deep breath, then jumped up onto the cab seat, sitting himself right down on Chase's lap. The dog adjusted himself, then set all of its weight on the celebrity's chest. Cole only asked, "Did you jump on you? I'm sorry.." -
x3 That's okay.
"Yeah, but it's okay. He's so sweet. Aren't you?" He grinned at Rosco, giving him one last pet before rested his hand on his back.
The cab driver cleared his throat. "Alright, so aboutta year ago, there was this petite red head, who was very much sassy. She had almost stepped in fronta' my cab justa' get me ta'stop. It was a very scary moment. I nearly hada heart attack. Gettin' back to that story, ha'ever, she got into my car with one of those disgustin' attitudes. I nearly kicked 'er out." Another laugh came from him. -
"A sweet fur ball the size of a pony." Rosco sat there huffing in and out, his tongue sticking out. Los Angeles was hard work for a dog, especially in the heat and mass of people. He loved having breaks, just sitting down and being pet.
Cole smirked a little at the little anecdote, knowing of the many snooty girls that roamed around Hollywood. They dressed nice, then walked around all day trying to look good and get a talent scout's attention. "They're just so desperate," he commented, "that they try to act rude to be more like actors." After a second he realized that might have insulted Chase in some way, him being an actor. "Not that actors are rude, I don't think they are. Just the girls who are trying too hard." -
"I can agree on that," Chase said quietly. "Flora is one of the most difficult people to work with.." His mind flashed back to their Halloween Special for Breaking Her Walls. Flora continuously corrected the way he hugged her at the end of the episode. The scene was taken about fifty different times, because every single one of the people working for the show just wanted to please the Mighty Ruler, Flora.
"I hear ya', both of ya'. Anyways, she told me to take her to Fairview Production Center in hopes of gettin' there all fast an' furious. She snapped 'er fingers and told me to drive. I was on the fence with this one, but I drove anyways. About halfway through the ride, do you want to know what this cherry-headed girl did to my cab?" -
While Cole wasn't sure who Flora was, he could assume it was an annoying female actor. Which was enough information to infer the details. "I would have kicked her out of the cab," he murmured, thinking of how much he disliked rude people. No one needed that sort of negative atmosphere in their life.
