The head bodyguard, Deuce, grunted as they used the stairs to the apartment. It seemed quicker, as they were all speedy and agile. Once the were on the floor, they made a bee-line to the address that was given to them. Pat, one of the other guards, peered into the apartment, a bit angered at what he saw. All of these people bothering a normal person.
Chase, in the limo, was having a fast-paced conversation with Lyle, but his mind kept wandering off. He didn't seem like he was paying attention at all, a softness residing in his eyes. Lyle made the choice to be quiet, letting Chase sit in silence until they were to shoot the program.
Deuce eventually caught up to pat, letting out a high-pitched whistle into the air. These people could be so horrible. -
Anne had regarded the body guards lightly at first, seeing them take the stairs instead of the elevator. It wasn't like they had anything to do with her, so she didn't feel like fussing about them at the time. It was only when the elevator stopped at the sixth floor (after two other stops, for the other passengers) that she squinted at the scene in the hallway. Cameras flashing, and, oh, there were those buff guys. Maybe one of the wanna be actresses finally hit it big? She stepped out into the hallway, and after walking a few feet, it hit her. All those people were at her brother's door, calling questions to him, and the bodyguards were headed to the same place. Anne dropped the bag of dog food on the shaggy carpet, rushing over without a second thought. An angry sister more easily found her way past this crowd, going straight to her brother.
Cole was more than scared of these people now. They were terribly intrusive, and were acting like he was supposed to stay calm when he couldn't even see them. He jumped when he felt someone grab his wrist, but was even more surprised when his sister's voice was yelling. "Stop it! Get out! You're scaring him, you a--holes!" Of course, it didn't help. The photographers only got more excited by this turn of events. -
In a very protective fashion, Deuce and Pat went and began to yell for the photographers to leave. The other two, Jace and Kel, went to attempt to pull some of them away. They were sure not to be too harsh, as they also had a chance of getting gossiped about, which just might ruin their careers as bodyguards. They knew what they were getting into when they signed the contract, but they never expected having to do so much. Things like this could get much too out-of-hand for comfort.
Very soon, the limo arrived at Dobson Studios, a gigantic building. It was always filled with celebrities and producers, directors, script-writers, and quite a few other important movie workers. Chase was rushed to Set Nine in order to complete that week's episode. -
Anne paid more attention to her brother than to the photographers then, seeing as the body guards were getting rid of them pretty efficiently. "Cole, are you okay? What happened?... Don't cry, they're leaving." She'd seen a tear drip from the corner of Cole's eye, rolling down his cheek now and threatening to drip. He was tall enough that she had to reach up to wipe it away, but then again, she was just very short.
"I'm not," he defended, swatting her hand away. It was embarrassing to him that his younger sister had to come to his rescue. "I'm going to sleep, okay?" He stated, then pulled his arm away from her and went to the couch.
All of the paparazzi had obeyed this time, finding they didn't want to fight against the built bodyguards, so they'd all retreated to the stairs and elevators to go back down. -
The group of men internally applauded themselves, letting out short, gruff grunts. They had done the job perfectly went, and they gave each other shoulder bumps to praise one another. They checked the see that the male was accounted for before marching off to the stairs to follow the pests out. That job was certainly a piece of cake.
As soon as Chase stepped foot on the set, a high-pitched scream was heard. He gasped, searching for who it was coming from. Sure enough, Flora stood in her character's outfit, which was a casual black tank top, shorts to mid-thigh, and Converse. Her hair was done in a small, messy bun. She seemed normal, kind, the girl-next-door. But she was anything but.
"CHASE MOTHERf---ING LANDON!" She yelled, stamping her foot. "How dare you leave me sitting here like that?!" Her voice only made Chase want to slap her. Instead, he had to apologize.
"I helped a man find his dog and-"
"I don't giveaflying f---! Get to the scene, idiot!" -
((Short response bc dying phone ;-;)
Anne grumbled; she'd come to visit her brother but had arrived to chaos, cameras, and an upset man. She let him lay down on the couh anyway, watching Rosco jump up to join him in sleeping. While they rested, she went to work on the stack of bills on Cole's table. -
It's fineeee.
Chase ignored the girl, changing faster than he ever had before. He joined her on the set, and seemingly automatically, everything was in position and ready. Someone called 'ACTION' and the scene began to be recorded. Flora's character, Dawn, clung to Chase's character, Lucas. She was in a fit of tears.
"You do these stupid things and I worry..." she sighed. Chase stared into her hazel orbs, a worried look spread across his face.
"And you are such an a--hole for that!" Her character proceeded to give a hard slap to Chase's face. What no one expected was for her to actually hit him at full force and at her maximum speed. And not only once did she do this, but four times. Chase was dazed for a moment, but found a way to make it work.
"You say you love me, and do that? Maybe I'll leave." He stood, storming out of the set bedroom's door. A distraught Flora yelled out,
"Lucas! Don't you dare walk away!" She ran after him, and the scene was ended. -
As Anna read through the papers, her worries for her brother grew. His bills were skyrocketing, adding up each month that they didn't get paid. Which was more often than not. Electricity was already at more than one thousand, his medical bills from years ago still had yet to be paid in full, and even though he had been trying to buy small, the grocery payments were just as worrying. There was no longer much time for things to get figured out, before Cole's welfare checks just didn't cut it anymore and he'd have to move in with her, or go to a home.
-
Chase was allowed to go home as soon as he finished the episode, which he was incredibly thankful for. Anything that could put him at a distance from Flora overjoyed him. He made sure to change into another normal outfit, this time prepared for when and if he was caught, which he did not feel would happen this time around.
His new disguise was a scraggly surfer dude. He wore a wig that was a golden blonde, the hair quaffed up with hair gel. Obnoxious glasses covered his eyes, and to make it more believable, the swim shorts he had chosen looked to be very cheap. The flip flops were clompy, but did the job well. He even had no shirt on and wore a Nike pull backpack to hold his other articles of clothing. -
Anne let her brother sleep for a while, the huge dog snoring next to his feet. She managed to knock out a good fifth of the paper stack, signing requests for payment raises and sighing at a notification that his electricity would be shut off if he didn't pay off a one hundred dollar fee within the week.
With that, she decided she'd had enough of worrying for him, and walked across the room to shake his shoulder. "Cole. Do you want to go out?"
Cole groaned, rolling onto his stomach. "No. I broke my glasses."
"Then we'll go out and buy you new ones."
"Whyyy?"
"You need the fresh air." She bent down, lifting him from under his shoulders into a sitting position. -
Chase went do the sidewalk of a busy street, heading to his favorite normal clothing store, Kenneth's. It usually sold men's clothing that appealed to most styles, such as business, casual, sufer, metal, punk, plain, country, and most other fashion types. He enjoyed the store just for the variety, which came in handy when he needed to hide his identity.
He also was pretty cool with the workers, even if they weren't aware of who he really was. He hated concealing that, but it was necessary. Otherwise, the people would be all over him with their stupid questions, and after receiving the words they needed, they would twist everything into something that it was not. Times like this were nice and quiet. Normal, to say the least. -
Cole grumbled, but let Anne help him up. He disliked going shopping. It seemed pointless, anyway; why should he have to go? He couldn't exactly see what his sister was trying out on him, so it was just a bombardment of his sister saying whether or not she would buy it for him.
It turned out that she needed to buy a gift for her fiance- John's- birthday anyway. So she ended up hailing a cab, they left Rosco at home, and directed the driver to Kenneth's. It was the only store that she knew well, because they had another branch of it up north. Her hand replaced the guiding lead of Rosco while they walked into the store, Cole still wielding his white pole/foot weapon. -
((Oh and btw my phone is dying again .~.))

AGH I DIDN'T SEEEE ;-;
Chase and one of the workers, Dan, got into a conversation about the latest surf trends and how the waves would be. That was the good thing about being an actor, always being able to fit into the part that he took on. It was quite handy, actually.
Dan directed him to some nice dress shirts. He took a glance, thanking the man before walking off to them. Many different designs and patterns stared back at him, and he grinned. Finally. -
Das fine cx
Cole's sister led him out of the cab, and through the tight-packed sidewalk to the doors of the store. At least they made it there safely, with Anne's hand holding firmly to Cole's wrist.
She led him first to the sunglasses, standing him next to her and pulling pair after pair off of the racks. She'd place them on Cole's face, and decide whether she liked them or not. While Anne did this, Cole would just stand there, crinkling his nose and waiting for her to decide on a pair.
