Anne managed to wave down a cab rather easily, since she was a young Californian beauty. Of course, there were advantages to that. A bright yellow cab appeared at their curbside in a matter of moments, with just Anne holding her hand up in the air and waving. She helped her brother into the backseat, sliding in beside him. Cole went ahead and told the cabbie his address, and once the vehicle was moving, Anne was talking.
"He has your number?"
"Yep."
"Why?"
"Because he helped me with Rosco and took me home, it was just a polite sort of thing to do, I guess. To keep contact."
"But he's a celebrity. He could help anyone on the street and get their number- nix that, he wouldn't even have to help them to get their number. Why'd he ask you is what I'm asking."
Cole only shrugged, unsure himself as to why. -
When not a single cab would take the time and stop for him, he decided that he would walk home. He wasn't too far away, actually, and he could be there within forty minutes if he continued the entire way with the same pace. He sighed, not exactly wanting to due to the fatigue he was feeling, but he had to. He adjusted his sunglasses, beginning at a partially brisk speed.
He scanned store windows as he did so, careful to seem normal and not so celebrity. He made himself positive that his phone was on silent, as to not alert any creeps who knew what his ringtone was. As he did this, he saw that he had five missed calls and twelve messages. Cringing at the number, he shoved the device back into his pocket. All he wanted was to take a break, and it was as though his team didn't want him to.
That fact made him ball his fists in a small anger. Maybe he should quit the show. He definitely had enough money, and all it ever did was bring him stress and other negative emotions. -
Their taxi ride was silent from then on out, as Anne faced one window and Cole faced forward. The cabbie got them home, the blind man's sister being sure to pay and get all of the shopping out of the cab seat.
Once they'd made it back to the apartment, and Cole went to work plopping on the couch to take a nap, Anne was going right back to paperwork. The local news was tuned on the radio, and since Cole liked it on it was on pretty loud.
"Two lanes of traffic closed on East Fidelis.. Police receiving reports of hot dog stand robberies downtown... And time for the newest 'Celebrity Sleeze'!" Cole grimaced at the name of the talk show, as it just seemed so de-humanizing to the people it spoke about. "Hubard Renolds is back on the screen, co-staring with Julia Pults-- and he's forty years her senior, yikes! Mega-hottie Chase Landon was spotted out this morning hopping into a cab with a cutie with a pooch, and a little extra junk! You heard it, he's in it with a mystery man, and you heard it here f--" Anne abruptly turned the station off, having heard enough of it. And Cole didn't complain. -
i'm a little bulls--- ass person
Apologies though, I did not see this.
Omg I love that report. xD
As he stomped on his unhappy way home, his mind found itself wandering off to think about the cute animal had had aided the man in finding, Surprisingly enough, this helped to calm him down. Quite possibly. focusing on something positive was the key to pushing stress and annoyance to the side. During his stroll, he only thought about Rosco. The big, furry, brown service dog..
Something that only ever happened in the movies took place as Chase made a turn down Kileese Street. Once he stepped foot onto the sidewalk, a splash of water hit him due to an oncoming bus. It was, of course, only a simple accident, but it was enough to make him cringe and let out a grotesque noise. Now he really had to get home.
He almost praised some higher being when he spotted his home's street. He could have chosen to live in a gated, safe community with other movie stars, but the house he had fallen in love with did not meet the location criteria. The home was a lovely, three story home. It was made from brick, cement, and a few other important, sturdy materials. It was elegant from the outside, sure, but once you went in, it was a whole different ballgame. -

Cookie saved the soap :'D
There was a long silence, then, between Anne and Cole. The younger sister was doing her best to work diligently on the paperwork; writing out replies begging for another month, another week, and paper-clipping checks to pay what could be paid. Meanwhile, the older brother stayed on the couch, new sunglasses still perched on his nose and still bearing the store's price tag.
Before long, Cole had fallen asleep to the sound of pen scratching paper and pages being organized. What felt like an hour later was when he finally awoke to his sibling talking to him, trying to get his attention.
"Cole. Cole, come on. I finished what I could. I need to get back home. Are you awake? Do. You. Need. Anything. Else," she pestered, getting louder and louder. Once her brother groaned and rolled over on the couch, she sighed, and left the apartment with a slam of the door. -
Cookies save everything!
Chase gave a resounding sigh when he spotted a few people outside the front of the home. As stated before, he didn't live in a special, celebrity community, so the only thing protecting him was the guest-control and the metallic, silver gate that would lead into the long, winding driveway. He focused on the people, attempting to determine whether or not he knew them.
One girl was tall and lanky, her stretched legs clad in floral-print leggings. Her top half was covered by a North Face, neon pink hoodie which made her capable of being seen from down the road. On her feet, she wore expensive, personally-designed Converse Allstars which screamed 'I've-at-least-got-some-money!' Her mahogany-colored air cascaded down her shoulders, ending at the middle of her back. She moved her tan hand up to her ear to tuck some of the locks behind it.
This particular female appeared to be the leader of whatever group of fans or club. She stood with confidence, and suddenly began talking to the others. All of them were different. Some were short and slender, while some were tall but hefty. Some had innocent appearances while some were obviously naughty. Some were girls and some were boys. Chase contemplated why such a variety of people would be crowded together just like they were.
And then an overwhelming sense of worry set in.
He bit onto his lip, scrambling to take the back route to his home, that only he, hopefully, was aware of. The only desire in his mind was to safely arrive back inside in order for him to finally, after the long string of events, relax. He just needed to make sure that he wasn't spotted by flower-pants and her posse. -
ew super late correction
*And then an overwhelming sense of worry set in. He knew exactly who the group was, and he wasn't happy with it. -
Ah no I didn't see that you replied ;3;
Anne had seemed careless leaving, as if she was tired, but nonetheless she was careful. The sight of all these people after her brother made her nervous, so she was sure to lock the door. As one last measure, and after a lot of thought, she ended up telling Cole's next-door-neighbor to keep an eye out for him. She was a younger girl, probably younger than Cole, who was eager to help because she heard there might be paparazzi attention involved. Finally, after this, Anne felt her brother was a bit safer and left to drive home.
Back in the apartment, the blind man had taken to turning the radio back on. It wasn't any talk shows any more, just annoying pop music. So he kept it playing, liking having some kind of noise to fill the otherwise quiet apartment. -
oh dats fine
As soon as Chase turned a bush-patched corner, he let out a sigh of relief. His worry slowly disappeared. The back door had not been used in quite some time, so it was necessary for him to unlock it. From his pocket, he revealed a key with a black and blue plaid design decorating it. He unlocked the door knob, dropping his things right after he walked in.
The door had led to the kitchen, and thankfully, he still had some Chinese food leftover from two nights before. He stomach cried for something to feed it, and so he grabbed a few Fried Shrimp Rolls to heat in the microwave. Once he had those in, he rubbed his eyes tiredly. From outside, he a few screams were audible...
He knew it was the worst choice that he could have decided on, but he walked straight out of his front door. The girls and boys that had been out front pointed at him, yelling slightly. His head pounded as he tried to determine whether or not they were complimenting or insulting him.
"Haha...Hey!" He waved, proceeding to reenter the home. He slammed the door shut in a fit of frustration. -
Mm and now I can't think of things to do with Cole ;-;
Cole, just like any other day, found himself bored. Rosco was still snoring away, asleep on the couch. On one side of the room, he could hear through the wall his neighbor singing along to some musical tunes from 'Wicked', off-tune. On the other side, his other neighbor, a middle-aged lady with a grotesque taste in fashion, was watching television with the volume up to fifty-seven, again. -
what would you like to do
Chase eagerly awaited the beep of the microwave ro sound out. His stomach grew louder, and so he held itwith one hand. Within a mere few seconds, the sound rang out, makingxD him slightly jump. He opened the microwave to pull three rolls of Heaven from it. A small grunt an the shuffling of feet led him into his living room.
As he plopped onto the couch, he grabbed his television's remote, flicking the flat screen on to find a pleasant show. His tired feet rested on his coffee table. He blinked back his worries as soon as Teen Titans appeared. He was content with that, always having a special place in his heart for the program.
He watched Robin and Starfire fight off some villian as his nerves calmed somewhat. One movie role he had always yearned for was Robin, only because of how agile and cunning he was. And he was the shadow of a hero, not the hero, like the characters Chase usually had to portray. A sigh escaped his lips as he ate. -
I dunno, I'm feeling some major writer's block
Cole found himself standing aimlessly in front of the table for at least a few minutes, fingers fumbling with some papers and his mind focused on listening to his neighbor's television. She was watching a cartoon, it seemed, because the story line seemed relatively random to him and the voices were incredibly exaggerated.
"You can't just go running off like that, to another state, it's dangerous, you know! Just because you're trying to be a hero--" A female voice said, but she was cut off by another voice.
"I'm not just trying, I am!" The other voice said, and it was painfully and obviously familiar. Even through the television editing and muffling from the wall, he could tell who this male voice belonged to, and he realized it was no cartoon but some kind of movie or soap opera, starring none other than Chase-freaking-Landon. -
Apologies.
i see what you did with that hero thing
"Later, I'll call him later," he told himself out of the blue. He suddenly recalled that he had a charity banquet to go to, somewhere quiet and secluded, and he was permitted two guests. He knew that it was really soon, but he thought that he could possibly invited Cole and Rosco.
He shook off the thought as he finished off his second roll. He came to a stand. rubbing his nose. Shower time.
sorry for short -
Tis okay
Woop c:
By the way in case you want to know, I picture Rosco as a Leonberger.
Cole was rather tempted to listen in to the show, so he did for a few minutes. Following the dialogue, all he could gather was that Chase's character had run away to try to be a super hero. He couldn't tell if the character actually had any special abilities, or if he was just supposed to be some kind of loon.
Eventually, he gave up on this activity as well, and decided to get something to eat. The dog was still asleep on the couch, so Cole quided himself to the kitchen, trying to be careful as he navigated around to find something to eat-- he ended up settling for a banana, as it was the first thing he touched.
