Okie Okie.
Chase had finally chosen a solid blue button-up and a black and white striped long-sleeved shirt. He enjoyed the new choices, going off to find a better frame for his sunglasses. He wasn't exactly paying attention to anything that was going on.
His phone rang a bit, but it abruptly ended. He tilted his head, perplexed as to who would have hung up so quickly. He fished his phone from his pocket. checking through it as he walked.
He called back the unknown number, waiting for a response.
"Hnn, hello?" the voice greeted. Chase rose an eyebrow. -
Anne had seemed to like a pair, or at least she'd kept one pair on him for a few moments. That usually meant they looked alright.
"Well?" Cole prompted, having waiting a little bit for her to say something.
"They're not bad," she finally said. The sister tapped her chin a bit, trying to decide if she really liked them or not. "Gives a good shape to your face. You have pretty definite cheek bones, you know."
"I do?"
"You do." Both of them smiled and laughed softly at the little exchange, while Anne tore off the price tag so that Cole wouldn't have to take the glasses off to get them rung up. "I'll buy today, as long as you'll let me use you as my model. You've got my fiance's build." -
All of the suspense led to the person just being Flora. He groaned.
"Flora...What now?" Flora went om to talk at about one thousand miles per hour.
Well, the director said that he loved the little twist that we, well, I added to the end. He loves it, but he wants to reshoot it for some more effect, you know? Sooo, get your ass to the studio so we can do this." He fumed internally, shaking a bit.
"Tell him no, Flora. I am supposed to be off for the next few days, you know? And I seriously do not want to go back." He mocked her slightly, a glare forming. He was trying not to talk too loid, but was faling quite a bit. -
Cole shifted slightly. He heard the very familiar voice speaking on the phone, and he was recalling it as the person who'd helped him earlier. Chase, he thought. Maybe.
Anne was much quicker to recognize it. She practically fainted this time, because she wasn't in a bad mood anymore, and took Cole by the shoulders, leaning forward to whisper in his ear. "Ohmygod Cole I think that's Chase Landon. Chase. Landon. I saw him earlier too."
"I know him."
"What?"
"Never mind. Are you going to ask him for a picture?"
"Sssssssh you need to whisper!" -
Chase made the smart choice and hung the phone up before Flora had the chance to yell a string of curses and insults. The episode would be perfectly fine the way it was. When the phone made noise yet again, he denied the call, turning the sound profile to silent. He didn't need to disturb the other shoppers with his ringtone, and if they needed to change the episode that bad, then they could delay the release date and wait.
He folded the two shirts that he had picked out, pulling the glasses off to find a suitable frame. He itched his bare chest, making some noise with his teeth. The lense shape was quite out-of-the-ordinary, and discovering something that would suit that shape would be luck, period.
Tapping his foot, he examined a few that caught his eye. -
As soon as the man pulled of the glasses Anne, who was watching out of the corner of her eye, knew for absolutely sure that that was Chase Landon. "Okay, yah, I'm just gonna-" she paused, letting go of Cole's shoulders and moving her right hand down to grip Cole's left. "I'm gonna ask him really quick."
Cole sighed, not wanting much more to do with celebrities, especially the one that had caused his initial problem of the day. "Do we have to? It's probably not him..." But she was already pulling him forward, leading the way to the celebrity in disguise.
"Erm, excuse me?" She asked, having made it to his side. -
One frame that particulary caught his attention was a nice, thick black work. It was plain, but seemed to do the job quite well. He wanted the frame, but he needed to see the best deal. He set the one he preferred aside. He didn't care how much money he had, he wasn't going to waste it.
Upon noticing a voice, he turned. "Yes?" he questioned kindly, wondering if it was a fan or just a regular person. He looked her up and down, not in a flirty fashion. Just to see who would be talking to him in this get-up. He gave a friendly smile. -
His sister squeezing his hand a bit too tightly, Cole grumbled and wiggled it around until she loosened her nervous grip. "Well.. Are you Chase Landon? I mean, you might not be, but you sound a lot like him and you look like him too," she stated, flustered.
-
Chase, at first, was hesitant to answer, not wishing for another mob. But his eyes scanned around until they landed on Cole, which caused him to smile and nod. Putting his focus back on the girl, he nodded once more.
"Yes, that is I." He noticed their hands, and began to think that they were in a relationship, not exactly seeing the resemblance just yet. -
Cole had hung just slightly behind Anne, and he felt when she slipped her hand away from him. She was reaching into he pocket to get her phone to ask him for a picture, seemingly having forgotten her brother. "That's so awesome, I really like your show, and you were amazing in Helena's Trap." She was a bit starstruck, and even though he felt a bit abandoned, Cole just let his hand fall to his side while he waited for Anne to finish.
-
Chase thought back to that specific movie. It was one of his favorites to actually star in and keep up with. His co-star, Jaynese Lillith, was probably the kindest actress he had worked with to date. Now, he was just stuck with that bitter Flora. He shook his head, focusing on the two.
"Thanks. It was really an amazing time and the fan feedback was so, so, so incredible...I assume you two are together?" he stated, a tilt to his head. -
The brother smirked, snorting softly. It probably wasn't a new assumption, since they did walk around holding hands, but no one had ever said it before. "Oh no no no, he's my brother. I've just got to lead him because he can't see--"
"He already knows that," Cole interrupted.
"Well, no, Cole. Not everybody automatically knows that you can't--"
"No, but I told you, I already met him."
"I thought you were just joking."
"Well I wasn't," he murmured, sliding his white pole across the floor and lifting it slightly so that it smacked her ankle. She yelped, and nudged it away with her foot. -
Chase chuckled at the two, staring at the pole. He found it intriguing how Cole used it, especially since he never thought about being blind. It just seemed sad, yet a different experience for the man.
"I see. And yes, we did meet. His fluffball ran off." He turned to the sunglass frames, plucking the blue frane from the counter. That one was ten dollars less than the black frame, which perplexed him, as the blue ones seemed more expesive. Hey, he wasn't complaining, though.
He shuffled his foot a tiny bit, itching the hairline of the wig. -
Anne wasn't happy to hear this. "Rosco? Again? That's the second time this month, I really think it's gonna be trouble if it ends up running in traffic and then Cole's got no one to take him home.." She thought quietly for a moment, then finally pulled her phone out of her pocket. "Well, I don't want to keep you, I guess you're probably busy. But do you think I could maybe have a picture..?"
-
When he heard this fact, he grew only slightly worried. What if that did actually happen? He couldn't imagine how terrifying that would be. "I'm not busy at all, actually. I finally was rewarded a four day break because of the season finale tonight." He sighed, overjoyed. He really did love his time off. "And yes, sure."
