"Yes it was." he insisted, keeping up the smile. He eyed the book in her hand, but whether she threw it or not, he couldn't find it in him to be worried. The cat was his problem. People were easy.
-
"Oh what planet?!" She yelled, tossing the book, aiming for his face.
After doing that, she turned, running to the door, not caring whether the book hit him or not. -
Kazuki, being an excellent trash talker, but not much of an athlete, was entirely unsuccessful at moving out of the way, and was hit dead in the face by the book. He stood still, eyes wide and unblinking. She'd attacked him. And then run. A hit and run! He stared after her, rubbing at his forehead as if it might be bleeding. Sighing heavily, he followed her, the hype from his game over and done with.
-
She stalked into the hall, keeping her head down, and started toward the gardens. She passed only two people in the hall, and was glad of that. She didn't want anyone asking her where she was going or what was wrong.
-
Kazuki entered the hallway and, seeing her pacing off down the hallway, had an internal debate over whether he really wanted to go pick another fight with her. She was obviously a very violent girl. It might be dangerous.
He decided to follow her anyway, running to catch up as he called out to her.
"Wait for meeeee~"
Kazuki may or may not be a stalker -
Heheh.
She ignored him, and pushed open a set of doors, sighing in relief as she entered the gardens. She walked down a path, heading for the maze. She had a favorite spot in the maze, a spot where she met Riot. She figured the maze would also be the best place to lose Kazuki. -
And a sociopath :P
He followed at her heels, determined to keep up with her now that she seemed to be making a conscious effort to get away.
"You're gonna get fired if you ignore me." he cooed. -
She almost paused at that, then decided her job wasn't worth it, and darted into the maze. She knew her way through it easily. She'd played in it when she was little, when her mom had worked as a gardener. She knew ever turn and curve. She soon found herself a the fountain in the center of the maze, and collapsed on the bench.
-
Kazuki stopped outside the maze, staring after her like a puppy tied to a bench watching its owner walk away. He wondered briefly if he might want to follow her in anyway. He'd never had to deal with people who would walk away from him before. This was definitely a new experience for him. The maze, on the other hand. It was very familiar. He remembered vividly getting lost in it when he was little. That was an ordeal that had gone on longer than two days, and only after those two days did his father think to send anyone after him. Even then, he was scolded for wasting time in it rather than consoled for being stranded and forgotten.
Deciding the girl wasn't worth the emotional trauma, he sat down outside the entrance and elected to wait and hope she would come out the way she had gone in. -
After calming down, she listened, straining to hear over the sound of the water. After not hearing footsteps near her, she began to head back through the maze, assuming he'd either gotten lost somewhere in the maze or gotten bored and left.
She stared at the sky, sighing. Wondering why she had to deal with a lunatic. -
Kazuki glanced up at the sky. Going off the position of the sun, he could only guess it was a little past noon, and that meant his father's meeting would be out soon. He sighed. This was boring.
-
She was almost at the entrance when she heard him sigh. Composing herself, she took a deep breath, and exited the maze. She turned to Kazuki, took a moment to stare in wonder as to how someone could be so crazy, then turned and walked over to a bench under a tree and sat down, yawning.
-
Kazuki perked up, sitting up straight and crawling over to her without bothering to stand up.
"Didn't you hear me when I said you'd be fired?" -
"I heard. I didn't care." She responded, glancing over at him.
-
He sat down, cradling his knees up to his chest.
"What! Who doesn't care about.. Tch. Fine. What if I just had you executed for being mean to me?"
