"Please don't.." She said, gripping the shelf tighter, moving her other hand to grab the ladder.
-
"GO!" he called, ignoring her plea and violently shaking the ladder. Some faint part of him was worried for her safety, but at this point, if she were to fall and hurt herself, he could say he'd accidentally bumped into it. Much more discreet than tipping it over entirely.
-
She let go of the shelf, clinging tighter to the ladder. She felt her hands slipping and slipped her leg between the rungs, ignoring the pain that caused each time it shook and used the new leverage to regain her hold on the ladder.
"Stop it! What is wrong with you!" She called down, voice shaking. -
"I'm bored." he purred, watching her struggle with amusement. "I need to be entertained."
-
She moved her leg out from between the rungs, unable to stand the pain anymore. When she moved, though, she lost her footing. She held the ladder with her hands even tighter, trying to regain her footing to no avail.
"Can't you find something else to do!" She yelled, close to tears. -
Kazuki tilted his head.
"No." he said, pouting. He was starting to get bored, but she did seem close to a satisfactory reaction, and that meant playing just a little longer, if only to see. -
"Your the Prince, you should have plenty things to do-" she started, then yelped as she lost her grip and fell, hitting the side of a nearby bookshelf before hitting the floor.
She groaned, tears in her eyes.
Riot hissed, racing over to growl at Kazuki furiously. -
Kazuki started to laugh, but was cut off by the ferocious attack of the cat. Shrieking, he jumped several feet back, momentarily distracted from the subject of his game.
-
Riot began to chase after Kazuki, but stopped as Loralei started to sit up and muttered "Riot, stop"
Riot glared at Kazuki a second longer before running off to hide somewhere in the library.
Loralei finally managed to sit up and rubbed her arm. She didn't feel like she'd broken anything, but she felt sore as hell. -
Kazuki started to back off, but turned back as the cat was called off, sticking his tongue out nervously as it stalked away. He watched it go and turned his attention back to the girl.
"That was a very short-lived game." he pouted, pursing his lips. -
"Any longer and I think I'd have thrown up on you, so count yourself lucky." She said, irritated and annoyed. She started to stand, leaning against the bookshelf for support.
-
The prince grimaced, disgusted at the thought of being thrown up on.
"That's a good note to hate. Stand out of the way of falling bodily fluids." he murmured, tugging at the ends of his hair tentatively. -
"It's your own fault. " She muttered, managing to stand. She glared at Kazuki. "And anyway, what the he'll is your problem? There are plenty other things to do in the castle then try to kill someone who's just here to help!"
-
*note to have
Kazuki grinned meanly.
"I wasn't trying to kill you. I was only playing." -
"That wasn't playing!" She hissed, then grabbed a book from the shelf nearby.
She was tempted to throw it, but held her temper, though she was close to snapping.
