"Turn it back. I wasn't done with that one yet." Kazuki mumbled in her ear, feeling as though he'd just been suddenly awoken from a really cool dream.

Loralei almost jumped on hearing his voice, her daze broken. She turned the page back, then offered him the book.

Kazuki took a quick step back at her jump, eyes widening again. He glanced down at the book in her hands, confused.
"What?" -
"You..said to turn the page back, I was just going to let you read it.." She said, confused.

Kazuki straightened up, crossing his arms.
"I didn't say that. I said entertain me." he huffed, pursing his lips and looking anywhere he could direct his eyes but the book.
okay are you annoyed now? -
No, why would I be?
"I'm trying to. But fine.. if you don't want the book I'll just put it up." She said, turning to do just that. -
cuz we're right back where we started xD
Kazuki intended to let her. He really did.
"No, give it to me."

Nah he reminds me of someone I know in real life, actually.c.f. so I'm fine
She turned around, and walked over, handing it to him. "Alright, there you go." She smiled. -

Kazuki took the book, keeping his face down to hide his embarrassment for the outburst, and looked it over carefully. He would need to start it over now. He looked up to make some snarky comment, but was caught off guard by the smile. He choked for a second before letting his gaze fall back to the book in his hands.
"Hm." was all he could manage as he brushed past her and headed out the door again without another word. -
She watched him go, then turned to write down the book at the desk. After doing that she yawned, and headed out to start toward the servant quarters, where her mother was waiting for her.

Kazuki retreated to his room directly upon leaving the library, locking the door and opening the book again as soon as he'd comfortably situated himself on his bed. He'd intended to read a few pages, maybe finally know why so many people seemed to think reading was such a joy, but he quickly became enthralled in the pages, a fantastical story ensuing after only a few short pages of introduction, and he found it impossible to put it down.
and now Kazuki's a bookworm. :P Good work. -
Books are life
Instead of finding her mom, a note was left on her bed. Loralei read it, and sighed. Her mom wouldn't be back for three days. Great.
Loralei set to work brushing her hair, carefully running all the tangles out of her hair. Afterwards she braided it, then collapsed on her bed, staring at the ceiling lazily. -
I should read some. :P

Sure, but I've got to go. I just took some medicine and I can barely keep my eyes open. G'night.
