Diana heard a faint yell from behind her. She gritted her teeth, and decided to ignore it. Then she got a better idea. Since he almost never got out of the water, Kaede would find difficulty walking, whereas the young naiad had been walking since birth. Grinning, she slipped behind a tree, and willed her body to turn more or less into water, so that she blended in. She looked around, keeping a sharp lookout for any predators as Kaede's clumsy steps grew near. She flexed her hands in frustration, surely a trainer should be able to stay silent in a place that was supposedly dangerous.

(I dunno, I only brought the skittles and cookies. *holds out a plate of cookies* )

"Gods! And they wonder why I hate land...", he muttered, stumbling over roots and fallen branches, last time he walked on land must've been 5 years ago, when he was the same age as Diana.
"Diana!", he continued to call, the forest was dense and dark but he really had no trouble seeing, he'd been trained to see in dimlight, focus his eyes on whatever light he found, interperret shapes and figures, understand them.
The trainer was aware of the dangers the forest held, though it didn't scare him greatly. Instead he was anticipating attack, he kept a firm hold on his tridant the entire time, "Diana!" -
(Hmph! I'll take the cookies *munches on cookies*)

((*magically makes her unchoking* They're chocolate flavoured if that helps.)
Kaede walked past Diana's tree. She counted to 3, then, somersaulted to the other side. It was quick, he shouldn't have recognised her, nor even seen that it was something humanoid. She waited a bit longer, then somersaulted out again, this time spraying him with water, except making it hot enough that he might think it was acid. Then, having pushed her luck already, she sprinted off until she found an easily climbable tree, which she climbed and peered down from, the leaves covering her from those below. She resisted the urge to laugh. -
(*manages to save self* *steals the cookies* To Liz the Sick! *runs out of thread*)

(Hey! *pouts* *magically makes more cookies, as I am Lady Cookie (the almighty overgoddess of cookies) and can do that*)

"Ah!", upon instinct he slashed his tridant through the air, it took him a few moments to realize the trick, "Hmph! Nice try Diana", he walked back, looking up into the trees. The day this girl turns thirteen will be the death of me,
"Alright, I give up", he sighed and sat down, leaning his back against a nearby tree, its quite strange to see Kaede give up, he never did. But today was one of those days where he honestly just wanted to get by, just go through it. He had no intention of looking for someone who doesn't want to be found.
"Do something nice for her", Iggy's words echoed in his head.
I'll give her some time, let her come out when she wants to, -
(I just finished reading this thread and I wanna join as Hades' son!)

Diana raised an eyebrow. Kaede? Giving up? That didn't usually happen. She crept back along the branch, and sprinted along it. In one agile leap, she jumped to the next tree. "What do you want, Kaede?" She called, her voice sounding louder and feircer than she thought. It made her grin. She decided then, that she liked the forest, so far she hadn't encountered any pthing too dangerous.

(I think that would be alright, post your bio anyway)

He closed his eyes, not to sleep but to instead feel the air around him, smell the forest and enjoy the new sensations, "Hmmm...not much really, y'know I'm quite a simple man. A sea-horse would be nice, a new home maybe..", he opened one eye and peered up at her, "And you young student, what do you want?"
-
"A simple man, or a complete jerk." Diana muttered. "Don't go all philosophical on me, Mr. Caring. I'm surprised you even had the guts to follow me." She said, lying on her back. She heard the screams in the distance again. Quick as a flash, she had jumped off the branch, doing a roll to soften the landing, and sprinted off full pelt towards the noise, leaving Kaede far behind. She ran to the noise, not sopping to wonder what she would find.
