Demetria looked at her wrist. She was now her own doom clock. She sighed. Demetria halfheartedly smiled back at Diana. "Bye." Demetria turned back to the body of Macaria. Demetria sighed. She picked a flower and placed it in Macaria's cold hands. Her wrist tingled. She looked down. Some of the lines on the Death Brand were growing longer. Demetria remembered Hades saying that a negative emotion or event could speed the process. Demetria had to go tell her trainer.

Kaede called out into the forest as they walked, "Iggy!", hoping the young girl would hear him. The child is too young for this, she's too innocent to be caught up in such matters.
He didn't fear disturbing any wild creatures, they just fought with the God of the Underworld and lived, what worse can there be for them to find. Oh yeah, Iggy's cold, dead body. No, bad Kaede. Think positive thoughts, good thoughts. You must stay strong, it's your duty to be brave and remain calm., -
"Iggy!" Diana called, cupping her hands around her mouth. Panicking when no one replied. Her wrist tingled. She glanced down. The lines on her death watch were lengthening. She forced herself push the panic out of her mind. She glanced back at Demetria. "I'll be right back." She said to Kaede, and started walking off towards the girl, stumbling every now and then. "Look, could I ask you a favour? If you see a girl about yay big-" she gestured Iggy's height "-with bright red hair, blue eyes and, when she's not on land, a bright orange tail." She looked at Demetria pleadingly, trying not to look at the body.

Demetria nodded absently. The while situation was overwhelming her. She fought Hades, witnessed her friend dying, and got a Death brand on her wrist. She looked up as the words that Diana spoke finally registered in Demetria's mind. "Yes. I'll tell you if I see her." Demetria looked in the forest. She noticed a girl who fit the description Diana gave perfectly. Demetria pointed towards the girl. "You mean her?"

"Oh thank gods!" Diana said, glancing behind her. "Thanks. I'm....I'm sorry about your friend. She seemed nice." She said quietly, looking down at her feet. She gave a weak smile and turned and walked over to Kaede. "Iggy! Over here!" She called, pointing the young girl out to her mentor.

Iggy looked at the two, her eyes wide in horror. She saw the shadows, heard the voices, a dark presence had been here and she needed to warn them. She stood still and shook her head, "We need to go, now", her voice trembled.
Kaede gave her a small smile, "Its okay Iggs, he's gone now I won't let him hurt you, I promise", he started walking towards her, arms open and ready to hug his young sister. If only he had moved fast enough.
Slowly, twisting came a dark shadow. It wrapped itself around the young girl, her mouth was agape in silent horror. -
Demetria nodded in response to what Diana had said. "She was." Demetria turned around and saw the shadow wrap itself around the little girl called Iggy. Demetria's eyes widened with a feeling that she has seen something like this happen before. Words poured out of her mouth before she knew what she was saying. "Bring her to the village healer. She's close and she may be able to help. But you have to hurry." Demetria didn't know why she was recommending the village healer, but she had a deja vu feeling and she didn't want to ignore it.

"Iggy!" Diana said, as the shadow wrapped around the little red haired girl. She couldn't do anything. Just stare, in shock. No. No, no, no, no, no. This can't be happening. she thought in an endless loop in her head. Demetria's words shook or out of it. She nodded. She drew some water out of the ground around Iggy, in a protective cocoon. She did her best to ignore the slight tingly feeling in her wrist.
"Which way to the healer?" -
Demetria scanned her surroundings. She pointed to a clearing where you could see a trail of smoke rise above the trees. A house. The house where the healer lived. "There. That's where the healer lives. She can help save your friend." Demetria looked down and mumbled, "I've seen her do it before?" Though Demetria sounded like she was asking herself, or trying to find a lost memory, then stating the fact.

Diana nodded again and glanced at Kaede. She sihed and began walking as fast as she could-not trusting herself to run. The floating cocoon floated just to the right of her, Iggy's face slightly distorted by the water. She kept her eyes on the house.
After a time that felt like hours, she reached the door and tentively knocked. "Hello?" She called. -
The healer opened the door to her hut. "I assume your the girl with the Shadow-Possessed friend? Come in, and don't waste any time. I have things to do you know." The Healer walked inside beckoning to Diana. "I was just heading out when someone told me what happened. I asked her to go gather some herbs to help with the antidote. What did she say her name was...? Demi...? No. Dory...? No. Ah yes, Demetria."
The healer put some strange and some gruesome looking materials into a small cauldron. "That girl had some strong legs. She was faster then the people I had seen before. Even if she was a nymph." The healer hummed an eerie song as she mixed in a bottle of liquid that may have been labeled dangerous. "So what were some merpeople and a naiad doing on land, hmm?" -
Diana stepped inside silently, looking around. She was careful not to bump Iggy against anything. Glancing behind her, the young naiad gently placed her friend on the a table. The water from it rushed into her hand and she leant against the wall, curiously watching the healer. A few of the materials she recognised, like tentacles, sea urchin poison and clownfish fins. She flinched slightly when the healer asked her why they were on land. Hesitant about giving up that information she simply said "Would you believe me if I told you it was a family vacation?"
