Thread Topic: Hello
-
Misfortune rolled her eyes. Was he just going to follow her around all day?
"What job?" she said, hoping it would be something she could easily do and then leave. -
"Erm..." Zack rocked back and forth on his feet a bit. "K-killing a person?"
-
(Sun?)
-
Misfortune choked a bit on her bite of mango. While she pretended to be dying, she thought quickly. The way she saw it, there were a few things she could do.
1, act like a stupid teenager that doens't want to kill anyone, but doesn't want to be a tattletale
2, feign disbelief and run away screaming "help theres a psyco murderer person on the loose!!"
3, tell him that she's an assassin and help, then leave.
4, fake her own death and hope he got bored and left.
5, say no and walk away.
6, kill him.
She decided on the first option for now.
"Why would I do that!? Your crazy!" she said, in a voice only minorly louder than her normal voice. -
"Well, because..." Zack undid her belt, knowing at was a weapon. "I figured it out a little bit ago. I'm not as stupid as you think I am. Now, are an assassin or just paranoid?"
-
*you
-
Misfortune stared at him. He held her chain, probably cutting up his hand. She thought quickly again. She couldn't afford for him to open his mouth. The last thing she needed was a crowd of bounty hunters after her. Option six was her next step. If he died, he couldn't tell anyone. And if he lived..
She growled. -
Zack dropped the chain, staring nervously at the girl.
-
Misfortune's hand shot down to catch her chain, weilding it expertly so it whipped around and one end landed neatly around her feet. She wondered briefly if it had cut him, and lunged.
-
Zack screamed and started running. Think of a plan, think of a plan... He started toward a busy street, hoping the girl would follow.
-
The boy ran. Misfortune saw that he was heading for a busy street. She wrapped the chain carefully around her waist as she ran, following him closely.
-
He stopped near a crowd of people, watching for the girl.
-
Misfortune moved with unmatched grace and speed, weaving around through the packed street. She saw that the boy had stopped. She slowed and looked around, half expecting a big safe or piano or something to be hanging over the ground a few feet in front of him, waiting for her to stand underneath. Too many old cartoons. She glared at him, still walking slowly closer.
-
Zack turned and saw the girl. He could still do his seven-year-old face, right? He gave her a big smile and hugged her. "There you are, sis! I thought you left me here." He was smiling, but his eyes said, Try anything and you are so dead.
-
Misfortune froze. Was he blackmailing her?
"What the hell are you doing?" she snapped. It was hard to convey her disgust while staying quiet enough for the crowd not to hear.
