Zack smiled and gave the paper to Ty. "It's at this location, in a week. At 9:30 AM," Ty said.
-
Misfortune growled. She hadn't expected to have to wait. She didn't want to have to deal with this kid anymore. She looked away so the man couldn't see how disappointed she was.
-
"Thanks, Mr. Ty Dude!" Zack left the store. He looked at Lulu. "I'm sorry... I didn't know it was a week away."
-
Misfortune rolled her eyes.
"Whatever. You know the roof I was on last night? Come there the night before. I'll gowith you then." she instructed, and began to walk away. -
"Okay." Zack watched her walk away. Even though she didn't like him, he kinda liked her. He wasn't afraid of her or anything...
-
Misfortune briefly wondered if he would follow her again. If he was indecent enough to do that, he wasn't worth the money. She walked slowly, hearing the grumbling of her stomach. Turns out, watered down coffee does not suffice in fulfilling an assassins nutrtional needs.
-
Zack went into a deli and bought a sandwich. He walked to the park and sat on a bench, playing a video game and eating his sandwich.
-
Misfortune layed back out on her favorite rooftop, pulling out a book she had gotten earlier that day.
-
Zack smiled as the boss level came up. He moved his thumbs seven times. Twenty-three seconds. That was his new record for beating bosses. It wasn't incredible, but it was pretty good. He sighed. If real life was like a video game...
-
Misfortune read through the words of her book, flipping page after page. When she felt sleep coming over her, she allowed herself to be taken into her dream realm. For once, she did not dream of the death of her family, the massacre and absolute destruction of everything that meant anything to her. Instead, she dreamt of naive smiles, and a little video game store a few blocks away from where she slept.
-
(Does she forget everything after the table of contents, like Train does?)
Zack closed the DS and let sleep come over him. -
(No, she's a pretty good reader.)
Misfortune was confused by this new dream, but it was pleasant. She went along with it, and could feel the smile on the lips of her physical form. This was a very nice dream.. -
(Bye. Continue this another day or something.)
-
(Okay. Bye!)
-
Misfortune awoke to bright sunlight. Birds sang over her. Some on her. she glanced over and saw a few resting on her arm. She shook them off and sat up.
