Maddy looked down at her hand. "Yeah, just a little metal sheer mishap." She smiled and took her seat next to Akira in the classroom.

The bell then rang and the teacher immediately started the class. "We are going to do an experiment today so everybody pair up with with the person at your table." Some kids started talking and claiming partners. "Now today we will be doing punet squares. Hypothetically you and your partner have a child together, and through this chart you fill out you will figure out relatively what your child will look like." Most the class chuckled and started breaking into talking while the teacher handed out the worksheets.

Maddy felt herself blushing but quickly avoided the heat building on her face. She turned to Akira. "Uh... do you want to be my parter?" she asked, smiling nervously.

Akira blushed a bit too and smiled. "Sures." They got their worksheet. "Okay, so our baby is a girl. What do you wanna name her?" He said cheerfully.

Maddy blushed a bit and smiled. "Hmm... what about Ana?" (this is where the irony starts xD)

"Lovely name," he said and wrote it down on the sheet. They went through the usual things like hair color, eye color, ect. "So it looks like she'd have blonde hair and light brown eyes. Oh and we have to draw a picture." -
"Okay... hmm... Are you good at drawing people? I can sort of draw them, but I'm better at nature." Maddy smiled.

"Yeah, you should draw the background then," he smiled and started drawing. His notebook he was working in earlier in math fell open on the floor, reveling his picture of the lake with them both sitting together. He blushed and tried to pick it up quick.

"Okay," Maddy replied smiling. She glanced down at his notebook and smiled bigger. "That's an amazing drawing..." she said quietly. She'd never seen such an amazing drawing before.

He blushed and smiled. "Thanks, it's just something I love to do. I can't show them to anyone else though, especially not my family.."

"I understand. A secret hobby. I have one, too..." She blushed. "The truth is, I really love playing the violin. I only play it out in the woods when no one's around." She started working on the background of their drawing.

"Wow that's great... I'd love to hear you play sometime," he said genuinely. "Maybe after school today?"

Maddy smiled. "Yeah, I think I can do that." She met his reddish brown eyes and got lost in their sea of emotion.

"Great." He smiled back, meeting her gaze and looked into her deep hazel eyes. He felt his cheeks tint with blush when the bell rang pulling him back to reality. "Um, any other classes we have together?" He asked.

Maddy blushed and glanced at her schedule. "I think we have art, english, and social studies together..." What she really wanted to say was this: I really like you, and I know this might seem really awkward or you might be turned away, but I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go out? There was no chance she'd be able to muster enough courage to ask.
