Akira waited at his locker for Maddy, and kind of drigted into his own mind. The jocks weren't there, which was a nice surprise. He felt his heartbeating fast and he had no idea why. -
Maddy walked down the hall and meet Akira at his locker. She'd picked up her violin from the music room and was now carrying the black leather case along with her book bag. "Hey," she smiled. "Ready to go?"

"Yeah," he smiled and they started walking out to the forest. "So what song are you going to play?"

Oh my god... Maddy had totally forgotten to choose a song to play. She was too caught up in thinking about Akira at the time. The Four Seasons by Vivaldi... She knew that by heart since she was seven. "I think I'll play The Four Seasons by Vivaldi." They reached the stream and she put down her bookbag, and got out her violin carefully.

"Awesome," Akira smiled and sat down in the grass, getting ready like the audience for the opera. He gazed up at her and couldn't wait to hear her play.

Maddy took a deep breath and played the first note of the piece. Measure after measure, she got more into the song, and she watched as the whole world faded away for a moment. She closed her eyes and smiled as she hit her favorite part of the song... the thunder and rain blending into the shrill chirping bird... Then, as if it had only taken 3 seconds, the song was over. Maddy smiled at Akira, feeling the weird glowing happiness she felt whenever she was around him, but also something more. Something more personal, more intense. She felt her love for music strike her head first in a blow of joy and happiness. She lowered her intrument and bow, her eyes sparkling with blatant joy. It felt good finally having some one to listen.

Stunned, Akira listened to Maddy play, her skill wondeful and her presence beautiful. It felt like her soul was flying with the music she played, and it took Akira back to a time in his life where he was happy and safe. His mom loved classical music and would play it around the house. He got so lost in it he was surprised when she stopped. He stood up grinning and applauding her work. "That was amazing, Maddy. I really mean that." Happy, he suddenly embraced her in a hug, not realizing his very personal action at first. His face warmed up and his heart started beating fast again.

Maddy smiled and hugged Akira back, tighter than she was expecting. "Thank you, so much..." She couldn't wipe the smile off of her face.

He hugged her back tight and slowly pulled away. "Um, Maddy.... I was wondering.... um.... if..." the words kept getting caught in his throat. What the hell am I doing? She'll probably hate me after this, or things will be weird. He paused and tried to regain the words. But I have to know... "I like you a lot, and I really have enjoyed every second of the time we've been together more than the past three years of my life."

Maddy stared into Akira's eyes and blushed. She gently held his hand and squeezed it softly. "Me, too... I really really like you, Akira." She kept looking up into his captivating red-brown eyes, hoping he could see what she felt through hers.

He looked back at her, into her deep hazel eyes and felt the emotion returned, and he held her hand back in his closer. He smiled and still blushing, managed to say, "I've never been in a relationship before but, if you want to, I want it to be with you."

Maddy smiled as her face instantly started to turn bright red. She leaned in closer to Akira and kissed his cheek. "I like the sound of that," she said quietly, pulling away and smiling.
