Jayden sat down next to him, leaning next to him.

Chester wrapped an arm around his waist, smiling. It's okay, he's not going to leave. Beatrice walked in.

Beatrice looked mildly surprised to see Chester still holding Jayden after everything, but hid it with a smile and sat down.
Maeve teleported, glaring at Chester. -
Chester glanced at Maeve, raising an eyebrow. ‘Are you okay, Maeve?’

Maeve didn't answer. Not verbally, at least.
"I know what you did," She mouthed, looking at him and Beatrice. -
Chester’s grip on Jayden tightened slightly. ‘Don’t tell him,’ he mouthed back. ‘I will.’

"You better." Maeve mouthed back.
Jayden felt his grip get tighter and looked at him and Maeve. "Are you both okay? What's happening?" -
‘Nothing,’ Chester said, feigning a smile and kissing his cheek. ‘We’re all good.’

Jayd frowned, not believing him. He glanced at Maeve, but she didn't say anything.

Their food arrived and Chester started eating.

Jayden ate too.

Chester stayed quiet.

Jayden didn't like how secretive Chester was being, but let it slide, figuring he'd ask later.

Chester finished his food after a bit.
