Chester & Jayden

Chester buried his face in his hands. ‘I don’t know!’ he cried. He grabbed Jayden’s hands again, leaning down and pressing them to his forehead. ‘P-Please don’t leave, I can’t lose you.’
-
Jayden yanked his hand away. Seems like you'd be able to find someone new rather quickly- He stayed quiet for a bit.
-
Chester looked up, trembling slightly. He looked down, sniffling. ‘Jayden, I swear it on the throne. I didn’t enjoy it and I didn’t reciprocate. I-It’s her power! She can freeze any part of you!’
-
Jayd buried his face in his hands. "I'm going to breakfast." He mumbled, standing up.
-
Chester didn’t stop him. He sat down on the bed and hugged his knees to his chest, burying his face in his arms.
-
Jayden walked out of the door. He couldn't stop Beatrice's words from echoing in his head, ironically enough. You could’ve chosen anybody, but you chose a playboy king?
-
Chester sobbed into his arms. Jayden was going to leave him, and Maeve was going to hate him, and Beatrice was going to have that stupid little smirk and say she told him so. And his best friend Oliver would look at him in disapproval and also hate him. He lay down, curled up, not having much of an appetite.
-
Jayden walked into the dining room, burying his face in his hands. He was so stupid to want to believe Chester. So naive.
-
Oliver walked into the room. He sat on the edge of the bed. ‘I saw the article,’ he said, resting a hand on Chester’s shoulder. ‘Beatrice did the thing again, didn’t she?’ Chester nodded, sniffling.
-
Jayden tried hard not to cry. It didn't work. He didn't know what to believe. On one hand, he wanted to trust Chester so badly, but on the other the newspaper seemed pretty cut and dry about it, but on the third hand, why would he trust a newspaper over his own boyfriend?!
-
Oliver sighed softly. ‘And Jayden isn’t taking it well?’
Chester shook his head, wiping his eyes.
‘Do you want me to bring you some breakfast and let you sulk in here?’
Chester nodded. A few minutes later, Beatrice walked into the dining hall, and smirked when he saw Jayden. -
"Go away." Jayden glared.
Oliver nodded, standing up and walking out. -
Beatrice chuckled softly and rested her hands on Jayden’s shoulder. ‘I saw the paper, Jayden. Poor you.’ She pouted. ‘What did I tell you? Don’t fall in love with a playboy king. And what did you do?’
-
"I said to go away." Jayd closed his eyes, trying to shut her words out.
-
‘Everybody needs to eat, Jayden~’ Beatrice said, tutting disapprovingly. ‘I told you, Celeste. He doesn’t care about you. He loves me.’
