Jayd was terrified that he did something wrong. That Chester was crying because of him. "Chester?" He asked quietly, looking down.

Chester looked up at him, curled up.

"You can tell me anything. I won't get mad at you."

Chester, for a moment, believed that. He morphed back into a human. ‘But what if you do?’

"I won't." Jayden frowned.

Chester looked away. He shook his head and morphed into a red panda.

Great, he almost told you and then you just HAD to ruin it, Jayden thought, though what he did wrong he wasn't sure. He sighed, not even smiling at the fact that Chester was an adorable red panda at the moment.

Chester curled up, switching between a cat, red panda and small dog to calm himself.

Jayden buried his face in his hands for a moment, standing up after a bit. "I'm going to get some fresh air." He mumbled.

Chester morphed back into a human. We were just outside. ‘I-It’s almost dinner..’

"I'll meet you there." Jayd muttered, walking to the door.

‘Oh. Okay,’ Chester mumbled, watching him leave. He felt horrible for hurting his feelings. ‘Love you.’

"I love you too." Jayden mumbled before leaving. He sunk to the floor once the door shut, burying his face in his hands. What is he hiding from you?

Chester curled up onto the bed, sniffling. He was such a jerk, he was convinced. He morphed into a phoenix and used his wings to cover himself up.

Jayd wished he'd just tell him what was wrong. At least then he wouldn't be overthinking everything he could've done to make Chester upset.
