Chester shook his head, not wanting to say it. He couldn’t handle it if Jayden left.

Jayden frowned, but nodded. "Okay. Do you want to walk to your room?"

Chester nodded, trying to calm down.

Jayd took his hand gently, standing up.

Chester morphed into a cat and jumped into his arms.

Jayden let him, holding him close.

Chester buried his face in his chest.

Jayden pet him gently, walking out of the garden.

Chester leaned into his touch, slumping in his arms.

Jayden walked into Chester's room, sitting down on his bed. "Can you please tell me what's wrong?"

Chester shook his head, curling up.

Jayd frowned. You can't just break down crying and not tell me why- He kept petting him.

Chester snuggled into him, feeling terrible. If he went back to his human form he’d have to tell him what was wrong. He was convinced Jayden would leave him if he did.

Jayden held him close, not sure what to do. How do you help someone who's refusing to tell you why they need help?

Chester relaxed against him. It was fine, he’d just have to be some kind of animal for the rest of his life. No biggie.
