(Sure lol)
James woke up late in the morning, sunlight streaming from his window. He got up and rubbed the gunk out of his eyes, his side aching from his rest on the floor. He fixed his hair and put his glasses on. He snapped a photo of his bedroom and peeked out into the hallway. -
Ed sat in the chair of his old office, the only thing illuminating the room a lantern he had lit. Dark, heavy curtains covered the windows, blocking the sunlight. He exhaled softly as he closed the book he had picked up a while ago, too distracted to keep reading. He stood and stretched, looking around for a moment before heading to the door.
-
James grabbed his can of beans and walked down the hall, looking around the dank and empty house.
-
Ed opened the door of his office and headed towards the kitchen, humming softly as he planned to go through every cabinet and toss all the old food.
-
James found himself in the kitchen.
-
Ed looked over, seeing James. "Good morning," he spoke with a small smile, setting down the cans in his hands. "Did you sleep alright?"
-
‘Morning,’ James said with a nervous smile. ‘As well as I could’ve on the floor.’
-
"You slept on the floor?" Ed asked, furrowing his brows. "Gods, I'm sorry, I suppose I should've offered to clean up a bit more," he mumbled, crossing his arms. He sighed, rubbing his temples. "I can clean up the bed for you, if you'd like-"
-
‘It’s okay, really. I’m used to it,’ James shrugged.
-
"No, I insist," Ed said, a small smile on his face. "It's not an issue, really-"
-
‘You sure?’ James asked, frowning. ‘I can clean it myself.’
-
"No, really- you are a guest in my house, so I insist~" Ed replied, his smile growing a little.
-
‘If you’re sure,’ James gave a small smile.
-
"I am sure~" Ed replied, smiling.
