"An unbelievably long time ago, like- early 1800's, I think," Ed spoke softly, glancing back at James.
-
James whistled. ‘Damn. 1800s?’
-
"Yes," Ed replied, nodding shortly.
-
‘That’s crazy. What was it like in the 1800s? Did you have any family? Ooh, are there other vampires?’
-
"Yes, there were other vampires," Ed replied, chuckling softly. "My family is all vampires, but- God, I haven't seen them in ages, even before I went to sleep."
-
‘Wow. How many are there? Are there as many as humans? How come I haven’t seen one before?’ James asked.
-
"There's definitely not as many as there are humans, but we tend to blend in rather easily," Ed replied, shrugging.
-
‘Right. What about the sun thing? Do you die in sunlight?’
-
"No, that's a myth," Ed replied with a chuckle, shaking his head.
-
‘I suppose the 100 year naps aren’t really helping that myth. How old are you?’
-
"You don't wanna know, trust me-" Ed said, chuckling awkwardly. "I mean, I look like I'm in my late 20's, so-"
-
‘That’s weirdly ominous,’ James chuckled. ‘Tell me! Pleeeeeease?’
-
"Trust me, you really don't want to know," Ed said, an awkward and nervous look on his face.
-
‘Why wouldn’t I?’
-
"It's just- weird, and may humans have freaked out when I told them," Ed said awkwardly, leaning against the counter. "Plus, it just makes me feel old," he muttered, an annoyed look on his face.
