“What kind do you have now?” Evan asked, turning his head back.

“I only have one right now, a Beatles record,” Connor replied, running a hand through his hair. “I want to get a Radiohead record- Or maybe a Jimmy Eat World one, my dad loves that band.”

“That’s cool,” Evan nodded. “I’m sure you’ll find one you like.”

“Yeah,” Connor replied, smiling a little. He hummed softly, sneaking glances at Evan every so often as they continued walking. “Ooh, we should also grab something to eat, I’m kind of hungry, honestly-“

“Uh- you can, I’m good,” Evan said, looking the other way.

“You sure?” Connor asked gently, furrowing his brows a little. “I mean, you didn’t really eat breakfast, I’m sure you’re at least a little hungry-“

“Nah, I’m fine,” Evan said, nodding his head quickly.

Connor wanted to ask more: he wanted to so bad, but he didn’t want to upset Evan and ruin their little hangout. “Well, just uh, let me know if you change your mind, okay?” He said softly, resting a hand on the brunette’s for a moment.

“Yeah, alright,” Evan nodded. “Don’t- you can totally go get something to eat, so-“

“Okay,” Connor said, chuckling softly. He pulled his hand back, humming softly. They soon arrived at the record shop and Connor pushed the door open, music playing and soft chatter from the shoppers filling their ears. “God, I f---in’ love record shops,” he said with a sigh, smiling as he walked in.

“What song is playing?” Evan said absently, lifting his head slightly as if he could hear it better.

“Some Weezer song, I think-“ Connor said, listening for a moment. “Mm, yeah, I think so.”

“Oh, yeah, okay,” Evan said softly, nodding.

“Weezer’s not bad, but Buddy Holly is really overplayed,” Connor said, chuckling softly as he walked with Evan into the show. He walked through the rows of shelves, humming softly to the music.

“Real,” Evan said with a chuckle, walking with him.
