“Because I want to, and I like being helpful,” Clay said, smiling warmly at George for a moment as he handed him a plate.

George narrowed his eyes. “I’ve worked for like, five other royal families, and none of them have done this without wanting something. So- spill, you want something.”

Clay exhaled softly, chuckling a little. “Guess you caught me,” he said, holding his hands up. “Can’t blame a guy for wanting some company, though, can you~?”

George narrowed his eyes, grabbing the plates and moving to put them away. “I guess not. Why me, though? There’s definitely a lot of people who attend to you who you see more often-“

Clay shrugged, watching George for a moment. “I’m not really sure myself, I was just kinda drawn to you,” he said softly, looking back at the sink.

George paused, shutting the cabinet once he put the plates away. “Drawn to me?”

Clay blushed a little, looking away. “W-Well, would ya look at the time,” he said quickly, pulling out his phone. “I better get going, got- got more classes a-and practices to get to-“

George frowned, turning and watching Clay for a moment. “Oh- okay. Uh- good luck.”

“Thanks- And thank you for the food, byee!” Clay said with a smile, walking away and waving at George.

“Bye,” George bowed his head slightly, frowning as he watched Clay walk out.

Clay left the room and exhaled, his face bright red. God, get a f---ing grip, Clay- Just because you think he’s cute doesn't mean he automatically likes you! He sighed, glancing back at the kitchen before walking off.
