wait, we should change it tho to like, karl’s having to go to the doctor’s for stuff, and then nick’s been assigned to like, shadow his doctor and has to work with him and work on karl maybe?) -

Karl sat in the waiting room of the doctor’s office, waiting for his name to be called and to be taken back. -
Surely this can’t be the Karl, right? There’s other Karl’s in this city- Nick thought as he walked into the waiting room. He was wearing his light blue scrubs, a small name tag on the left of his chest. He had to stop himself from groaning when he saw Karl in the waiting room. “Karl Jacobs?” He called, forcing a smile and hoping it still might be somebody else.

Karl looked over at the door that opened and froze, his heart stopping. Great, just great- He slowly stood and walked over, an awkward look on his face.

“Hey, follow me,” Nick said with a polite smile, turning and walking away. He glazed over the clipboard again as they walked, eventually turning into one of the rooms.

Karl nodded and nervously followed Nick, entering the room after him.

“Hey, so you’re just here for a check-in?” Nick asked, sitting down on a stool in front of a computer.

“Mhm,” Karl hummed in response, taking a seat in one of the chairs in the room.

“For…” Nick skimmed over the charts, glancing at his laptop. “Your anorexia?”

“Yep,” Karl replied quietly, a little embarrassed to admit. He crossed his legs in his chair, resting his hands in his lap.

“‘Kay,” Nick said absentmindedly, jotting something down. “I have to get some vitals, but then I will send the doctor in here. Okay?”
