Nick chuckled a little bit, nodding. “So real, honestly.”

Karl giggled, watching Nick for a moment with a smile. “Wanna go find a place to sit?” He asked, glancing around for a moment.

“Oh, yeah, right,” Nick said with a quiet chuckle, glancing around and starting towards a table.

Karl giggled softly, following Nick over to the table and sitting across from him. “So, you’re in medical school, right? I was a little surprised to see you at my doctor’s office,” he said, chuckling softly.

“Uh, yeah, I’m finishing up my last year,” Nick said with a nod. “Im interning right now- luckily I’m getting paid at least a little for it.”

“Mm, sounds nice,” Karl said with a smile, running a hand through his hair. “So, being a doctor’s kind of your dream job?”

“Nah, just nursing,” Nick said with a shrug. “But I still have to intern for two years with doctors, unfortunately.”

“Damn, that kind of sucks,” Karl said, nodding. “Well, it’ll all help in the end, making you a good nurse, right~?”

“Yeah, It’ll be good,” Nick said with a nod, smiling. “What about you?”

“I’m not in school or anything, haven’t really found something I’ve really needed to go for,” Karl said, shrugging a little.

“Ohh, gotcha,” Nick said with a nod. “But what do you wanna do otherwise?”

“I honestly haven’t put too much thought into it, I’ve kind of just been working to get enough money to move out,” Karl said, shrugging a little. “Trying to get a house and a new car, since my current one is on it’s last leg-“

“You don’t like your house right now?” Nick asked.

“No, my uh, my parents fight a lot,” Karl spoke softly, resting his shaky hands in his lap. “Mostly about me, my health issues, my mental health-“ He shook his head a little, putting a small smile on his face. “Sorry, I’m- I won’t bother you with the details-“

“s---, how old are you?” Nick furrowed his eyes a bit. “I didn’t know you still like with your parents.”
