“It’s close by the neighborhood, in the downtown area- I actually work there in the mornings,” Karl said, smiling. “It’s called Profit Coffee, really nice place~”

“Okay,” Nick said with a polite smile. “And are you working tomorrow morning?”

“Mm, not tomorrow- I’m working my other job tomorrow, and I have a bit of free time in the morning, thankfully,” Karl said with a small smile, running a hand through his hair.

Nick nodded, smiling a little. “Alright, well you’re all checked out. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

“See you~” Karl said with a smile, waving as he walked off and left the office. He closed the door and walked over to his car, getting in. He sighed with relief, buckling up. “God, I’m so glad he doesn’t hate me,” he said with a sigh, pulling out of the parking lot and heading home.

Karl hummed as he stood outside the coffee shop, waiting for Nick to shop up. He got there a little earlier, not wanting to be late to their, what, coffee date? Coffee apology? Whatever it was, he was determined to make things right with Nick. -
Nick walked up, smiling politely at Karl. “Hey, sorry. Parking was a nightmare-“

“All good- Parking’s always terrible here,” Karl said, giggling softly. He opened the door for Nick, smiling warmly at him.

Nick smiled a little, thanking him as he walked in. “I bet you know all the tricks for parking and stuff.”

“Kinda, yeah- But considering I work here, I usually just use staff parking whenever I come down,” Karl said, giggling softly as he walked towards the counter. He greeted one of his coworkers at the counter, saying a quick hello before turning to Nick. “What do you want?” He asked with a small smile, running a hand through his hair.

“Uh, I’ll pay for myself, thanks though,” Nick said with a slightly awkward smile, glancing at the menu.

“Oh- Right, of course,” Karl spoke softly, his expression dropping a little. He ordered his own drink, paying for it.

Nick went up after him, getting his own drink. “What’s your favorite drink to get here?” He asked as they walked over to the pickup station.

“Mm, not sure- I like to just mix random s--- together and like, make my own drinks,” Karl said, chuckling softly. “But their frappes are amazing~”
