Nick smiled politely, taking his hand and shaking it. “Well, it’s nice to meet you. Which house do you live in?”

“Big-ish house over there, center of the cul-de-sac, baby~” Alex teased, chuckling softly. “How’re you liking the neighborhood?”

“Ahh, gotcha,” Nick said with a chuckle, glancing over to the house. “It’s pretty good! I haven’t met many people.”

“Well, no need to meet anyone else, since you’ve met the coolest and sexiest guy here~” Alex joked, laughing softly. “Kidding- The neighborhood’s great, the people are great. I think you’ll fit in well~”

Nick chuckled awkwardly, crossing his arms as they spoke. “Yeah, I like it a lot so far. Well, most of it-“

“Ooh, gossip- Who is it~?” Alex asked, pretending he totally didn’t know the whole situation. At least from Karl’s perspective.

“Sorry- pretend I didn’t say anything, I don’t wanna start beef,” Nick said softly, chuckling awkwardly.

“No, no, tell me, Nicky~” Alex said with a smirk. “I won’t say anything, don’t worry~”

Nick looked skeptically at Alex before shrugging. “It’s seriously not a big deal. Anyways- what do you do for work?”

“Boo- I’m in law school, planning on becoming a lawyer,” Alex said with a smile, brushing his bangs out of his face. “What about you?”

“I just graduated college, I majored in nursing,” Nick said, smiling proudly. I currently have a job at the main town hospital-“

NO WAIT- karl gets hurt from smth, and clay and alex band together and convince nick to take care of him >:))
“Ooh, fun~” Alex said with a chuckle, nodding as he crossed his arms. “I for one could never be a doctor, hospitals make me uneasy, not gonna lie,” he added, chuckling awkwardly. -

“I can get that,” Nick said with a chuckle. “But I’ve basically lived in a hospital for the last four years, so you get over it at some point-“ -
“Mm, fair, fair,” Alex said with a chuckle, nodding. “I’m sure you’ll be a great nurse, and a fiiine one at that~” He joked, smirking playfully.
