then we could do like, they keep running into each other, like at the coffee place karl works at, or the store n stuff-)
Karl hummed softly as he finished packing up the food he had made, getting everything for the semi-annual block party. He put the containers in the bags and headed outside, seeing the cul-de-sac decorated and filled with people mingling. He walked over to one of the food tables, setting his food out on it. -
(ooo yeah)
Nick froze, seeing Karl walk into the cul-de-sac. He glared at the brunette for a moment before turning and going to mingle with some of their other neighbors. -
Karl glanced around for a moment, seeing Nick mingling in the crowd. He rolled his eyes and forced a smile, talking with a friend of his who walked over, waving at the brunette. “Karlos! Sup, dude?” His friend Alex said with a smile, dapping him up. “Hey, Alex,” Karl said with a quiet sigh, running a hand through his hair. “Damn, what’s got you upset, Karl?” Alex said with a chuckle, patting Karl on the back. “I think I kinda messed up, introducing myself to the new guy,” Karl said with another sigh, looking over and watching Nick for a moment.

“Who, Nick?” Another neighbor, Clay, walked up and came to Karl’s other side. “He seems super nice- what could you have done?”

“I went to help him- help him brink his boxes into his house, and I- I tripped and dropped one and broke something of his, so now he’s pissed at me,” Karl said, crossing his arms over his chest. “I feel really f---ing bad, especially since I got mad at him for yelling at me. I offered to pay to get it fixed and everything-“ “Damn, he sounds like a bit of an asshat,” Alex said, patting Karl’s back. “Want me to beat the s--- outta him~?” He teased, chuckling softly.

“Alex, shut up,” Clay said with a quiet chuckle, rolling his eyes. “But what did you break?”

“It was just a stupid picture frame- God, I feel so bad,” Karl said with another sigh, rubbing his face in his hands. “And he’s cute too- I made a cute guy mad at me!” Alex laughed, crossing his arms over his chest. “Have you talked to him since?”

“Damnn, that sucks, dude,” Clay said with a chuckle, glancing over at Nick. “Yeah, has anything happened otherwise?”

“No- I’ve kind of been avoiding him, I mean- he probably hates me,” Karl whined, covering his face with his hands.

“I lowkey wanna know why he’s so upset, though,” Clay said softly. “I wonder if there’s something specific about what you broke-“

“Ooh, maybe it was given to him by his boyfriend or girlfriend or something~” Alex teased, chuckling softly. Karl groaned softly out of guilt, lowering his head. “f---, I hope not-“

“Yeah, dude that would suck for you,” Clay said with a chuckle, crossing his arms. “Yo- Alex, you should go talk to him. See what his deal is.”

“Hell yeah, lemme go see what his deal is,” Alex said with a chuckle, patting Karl’s back before walking off. “No! Don’t, oh my God!” Karl exclaimed as he lifted his head, his face red with embarrassment. Alex chuckled softy as he walked over to Nick, resting his hand on his shoulder. “Hey~ Nick, right?”

Nicks head perked up, and he looked over at Alex, slightly awkward. “Uh, yeah! I just moved in here a few weeks ago. You are?”

“Name’s Alex, nice to met you,” the ravenette said with a smile, adjusting the beanie on his head for a moment before extending his hand to the other guy.
