(“L- Look, Liam, it’s a butterfly-“ He said quickly, in hopes to distract his friend from his, well, he didn’t know what was happening, but he would never let anyone know what was going on.**)

Liam took his hand again, his heads snapping up to look at the butterfly. “Oo- it’s a swallowtail!” He said with a small smile, following after it.

Jared chuckled nervously and nodded, following after Liam. He pulled him a little closer, making sure he stays on the path. “I should’ve brought like, a camera or something with me, could’ve gotten a bunch of photos of the bugs for you, Bug-“

(also, i totally haven’t created an extremely sad and emo backstory for jared and why he’s so against the idea of himself being gay, toooootally not-)

“Yeah, that would’ve been nice,” Liam whispered, focused on the butterfly, that had landed on a branch nearby. -
(i’m writing smth for it rn, but i did a mini synopsis in the thread with the other writing stuff lol)
“Ooh, y’know what, maybe we can ask Evan if he can buy one for us,” Jared said, chuckling softly. -
(ooo okay)
“Oo, okay,” Liam said with a smile, forcing himself to turn away from the butterfly and back to Jared. -
Jared chuckled, a small smile on his face as he watched his friend. Images of his mother flashed in his head and he exhaled softly, looking away as his smile faltered a little. “C’mon, we’re lagging behind-“ He gently pulled Liam along, walking a little faster.

“Okay, okay,” Liam said with a chuckle, starting to walk faster with Jared. “Are you sure you’re okay?” -

“Yeah, I’m fine-“ Jared replied quickly, forcing a smile onto his face as he looked over at Liam. “Don’t worry about me, Bug~” -
Liam smiled hesitantly, studying Jared for a moment before nodding and continuing to walk.

“GUYS, YOU JUST MISSED THE COOLEST THING-“ Michael shouted, making Jared cringe a little. “Jesus, quiet down, Michael,” he said, rolling his eyes. “What’d we miss?” “I was a baby deer! It was so cool, I went off the path and-“ Jared glared at Michael, smacking his arm gently. “Dude, you’re not supposed to go off the path.” Michael rolled his eyes, crossing his arms. “What Evan doesn’t know won’t hurt him-“

“It’s fiiine, I left the trail once,” Michael said with a chuckle, crossing his arms. “Well, if you do that again, I’m telling on you,” Jared said, playfully glaring at Michael.
