"Oh, no reason," Elodie said with a small smirk, humming as she stood. "I'm gonna go check on the rest of the animals, see if they need to be fed. But uh, just give what I said some thought," she added, smiling at Nick before heading back inside. -

Nick frowned a little. “No- don’t you dare leave, get back here! You can’t just say that-“ He yelled as she left, groaning in frustration.

Elodie giggled as she shut the door, checking on the animals before walking out to the front desk area. "Everything good out there?" Karl asked, looking over. "Yep~" Elodie said, a smirk on her face. maybe nick does like karl and they do date for a little bit (js so we can get that fluff for a second) but then they get t in a fight over smth (maybe karl mentions he’s a time traveler or smth) and it gets toxic or they break up?)
Nick sat there in confusion for a moment before the dogs brought him back. Why would Eloide bring it up if she didn’t know somthing? Right? -

Karl rolled his eyes at Elodie, chuckling softly. "Is Kayden busy right now?" His friend asked, standing up straight. "Yeah, taking care of a kid's pet bird, they think their neighbor's cat got to it." Elodie awed, covering her mouth. "Oh my God, the poor birdie~" She sighed, shaking her head. "Damn cats-" "Don't you have 3 cats at your parents house?" Karl asked, making her giggle. "Yeah, I do~" She paused, smirking and looking back at Karl. "Right, I forgot to mention- You may have a potential date in your future with Mr. Love Of Your Life, Karl~" He paused, blinking as he took in Elodie's sentence. "Wh-What?!" -

After a little while longer, Nick finally went to put the dogs inside again. This proved to be easier said than done. He struggled with it, eventually getting all the dogs back where they were supposed to go. -

Bee looked up at him, nudging his elbow with her nose. He giggled and pulled his hands back, petting Bee. "Seriously, why would you tell him I like him??" Nick after a few moments came out of the animals room, walking over to the counter. “Gosh, the dogs are so crazy.” He said with a chuckle. -

"So, you two planning to do anything after work today?" Elodie asked as she looked up at Nick, smirking at him. "I'm free, don't have anything or anywhere to be after this," Karl replied, cuddling Bee close.
