Nick frowned. “Dr. Kayden’s good, she’s got it.”

"Yeah," Karl said, nodding with a small smile. "The bird'll be just fine." He sighed as he walked around the counter, sitting down in his seat.

“That’s the spirit,” Nick said with a chuckle, sitting down next to Karl. “Wanna hold Bee? For moral support?”

"Yeah, that'd be nice," Karl replied, giggling and holding out his hands and arms. "My emotional support bunny~"

Nick chuckled, carefully handing Bee over. “She really does like you. I’d be surprised if she didn’t miss you all the time, but I can’t really read bunnies minds.”

"She definitely grew kinda attached to me ever since she first came in," Karl said with a smile, cradling the bunny close to his chest. "We just kinda bonded, I guess." -

“You definitely did,” Nick said with a chuckle, crossing his arms. “Do we need to do anything with the animals soon?” -

i went to an indoor rink like, 20-30 minutes away from my house
it was fun tho, and the guy i like was there :D)
"The pups may need to get out, use the bathroom," Karl replied, stroking Bee's head and rubbing her ears with a small smile.

“Do you want me to let them out?” Nick asked.

"That'd be great if you could, I have a bit of work I need to finish here," Karl replied with a nod, giggling as Bee nuzzled his neck. "Plus, the next few appointments should be getting here soon and I need to stay to check them in."

“Alright, I can do that,” Nick said with a smile, nodding as he stood, heading into the animals room with the dogs.

Karl hummed as he rested Bee in his lap, pulling his laptop over and opening it up as he went back to his work.

Nick walked into the puppy room, letting out all the puppies from their crates and herding them out into the fenced area outside. -

Karl typed away at his computer, later greeting the clients that walked in with their pet, informing them of the situation on why the doctor was busy and assuring them she will be with them soon. -

Nick hung out with the puppies outside, playing around with them and trying to get them tired.
