“Yeah, yeah true,” Nick said with a nod, following behind Karl.

He grabbed a bag of food for the dogs and grabbed some large bowls, walking over to the pen and setting them inside. "Could you do the pups for me? There's a measuring cup inside we use to scoop the food, so I'd do a few scoops in each of the bowls. It's a lot easier to do a few big bowls for them to share rather than a bunch of small ones," he explained, turning back to Nick. "And they've been pretty good at not hogging the bowls, minus a few times."

“Yep, I got that,” Nick said with a nod, taking the bag of dog food from Karl.

Karl smiled at Nick and stepped out of the pen, waiting to let out the pups until he poured the food. He then opened the crates one or two at a time, bringing the puppies into the play pen where the food was.

Nick poured the food into the bowl, going until the bowls were filled and greeting the puppies.

Nick has been up for a couple hours, taking care of all the animals he had and giving Penny all her medicine. He also tried to connect with Eli a little bit. Let’s just say it didn’t go very well. -

Karl hummed as he sat on the floor of his room with one of his pups in his lap, stroking his head as he replied to Nick. -

altho i am happy bc this guy i like, who is my bsf's brother (and he's also one of my bsfs) came to serve in the room i serve in at my church,
so that kinda made my day :))

Karl sighed happily as he sent the message, falling backwards and lying down with a smile. His dog barked and pounced on the brunette's chest, licking his face. "Aw, Teddy, get off me!" He said with a laugh, gently pushing the fluffy pup off of him. -

Nick chuckled at the message, sending the address to Karl. He put the snake back into its terrarium, shutting it. He made sure Eli and Bee would stay separated before grabbing his stuff and heading to his car. -
(yeah, except for the fact every time i see him it's just a remind that, not surprisingly, he thinks of me as ~just a friend~

i still really like him tho, but i- idk i think i'd be too scared to tell him and make things weird bc like, he's still my friend n stuff, but i also like like him and it- UGH it just frikkin hurts.)
Karl checked the message and stood, grabbing his pup and setting him down on his bed. Teddy sat on Karl's bed, watching the brunette as he fixed his hair in the mirror. "Don't look at me like that," Karl said to the dog, who tilted his head. "We're just- we're just hanging out, nothing more," he said, his voice quiet. He sighed as he grabbed his hoodie, walking over to the door of his bedroom and heading towards the front door. -

Nick hopped in his car, quietly humming the tune to whatever song started playing when he connected his phone. He buckled up, starting to his destination.
