Karl met eyes with the ravenette, a small smile appearing on his face. "Yeah, you're right," he said, exhaling. "Whoo, okay! So, if you have any other questions to ask about taking care of Bee and Eli, or any about volunteering, just let me know," he added, smiling gently at the guy.
-
“Alright, I will,” Nick said with a smile, nodding. “So, I’m good to go?”
-
"Yeah, I think so," Karl said with a smile, nodding. He paused for a moment, looking back at the guy. "I don't think I ever got around to telling you, but my name's Karl," he added, extending his hand to the ravenette.
-
Nick smiled, reaching his free hand out. “Nick. It’s nice to meet you.”
-
"Nice to meet you too, Nick," Karl said with a smile, shaking his hand.
-
Nick smiled. “Would you mind helping me get these guys out to my car? If you’re not busy.”
-
"Yeah, of course," Karl said with a smile, picking up the box with the pet food and medicine inside.
-
“Thanks,” Nick said with a smile, placing Bee down in her crate, securing the door and picking it up with one hand. He took Eli’s crate in his other hand, using his back to open the door and let Karl out aswell before leading the way to his car.
-
"So, you excited to have some fur babies?" Karl joked, giggling. "Man, I wish I could go back in time to when I first got my puppies, just to relive the moment again."
-
Nick chuckled. “I sure am.” He said, placing one of the crates down to open the back car door. He placed Eli on the floor of the car, planning on putting Bee on the floor opposite of Eli. “I already have a snake at home, but I’ve been wanting to rescue some animals for a little while.”
-
"Really?? Wow, that's fun!" Karl remarked, smiling. "I think I had a pet snake when I was little, but I can't really remember." He giggled, setting down the box of food and medicine in his car.
-
“Yeah, she hates being alone though,” Nick said with a chuckle, picking up Bees crate. “Sometimes she’ll just hang on my arm while I wash dishes or something.”
-
"Aww, that is the cutest thing ever," Karl replied, giggling. "Now I kind of wish I could get another. Although honestly, snakes kind of scare me."
-
“Oh, they’re harmless,” Nick said with a chuckle, waving his hand a little. “Just scaly babies, really.” He called as he moved to the other side of the car, placing Bee down and making sure she was secure before gently shutting the door and moving back around.
-
"Yeah, just- I don't know, makes me nervous, even working with the snakes that come in and out of here," Karl said with a chuckle, crossing his arms over his chest. "So, you all set?"
