Soon enough, the sky got darker and the sun was dipping over the horizon. Hunter could see the sunset and it never failed to impress him. The humans were lucky they saw this every day. Hunter only saw it a few times a year - and that was if he was lucky. Hunter opened his umbrella and walked out from under the shade, walking down the street to where he "lived".

Eleanor s father soon arrived home and slammed the door hard behind him. He was definitely in a bad mood. Eleanor swallowed and sat still on the sofa, staring into her lap.

Chanelle stared at the wall. She felt speechless, even though she wasn't talking to anyone, but if she was, not a word would come out her mouth. Her mom walked back into the room, holding the cup of tea she made for Chanelle, putting it in her hand as she sat beside her. But Chanelle was just staring into the tea without thinking of drinking it, until her mom nudged her. She sipped her drink, smiling a little.

Hunter's dwelling was in an old attic in a poor man's house. The money Hunter paid him seemed to be the only income the man got, but Hunter didn't ask any questions as he felt it wasn't his place. He climbed into the attic. The only light was by a candle, and the small, grimy window was closed.

Eleanor stayed staring into her lap, not daring to say anything when her Father was in one of his rages.

Hunter lay down on the floorboards, which creaked. He winced. He was constantly worried the attic would cave in under his weight. He knew it didn't have it that hard, but crashing into an old man's lounge room in his sleep wasn't a pleasant thought. Night fell soon, Hunter could tell by the pitch darkness his room/attic was lit by. It would probably be safe to go out now.

By this point, Eleanor was trying to sleep in her cupboard room at the top of the house. She lay awake, gazing out at the window, propped up at the end of her mattress.

It was pretty late now. Hunter opened the window and turned into a bat, then flew out. He landed on top of a familiar house and morphed back into a human, sitting on the rooftop.

Eleanor jumped as she saw a flash of black, but it disappeared pretty quickly. Probably just a bird, she thought.

Hunter cuddled his knees to his chest. It was a lovely full moon tonight. He shifted himself so he could see better, in the process dislodging a tile which fell and smashed on the ground. Hunter winced.
