Jayd nodded. He hated Chester’s advice though-he didn’t know what he had to do, after all. He liked the idea of a loophole much better. “Thank you.” He mumbled.

Chester smiled softly, gently massaging his back to try and help calm him. ‘That’s what boyfriends are for, right?’ he said playfully. ‘Looking for loopholes in the law.’

Jayden chuckled. “You’re way too good for me.” He murmured.

‘Don’t say that,’ Chester said softly, holding him close. ‘I’m really not.’

“Then explain why you’re trying to find loopholes just so I can stay in power and probably have to keep more secrets from you?” Jayden paused. He shouldn’t have mentioned the last part of his sentence. He was so stupid. “I… sorry.”

Chester’s smile faded for a moment. He plastered it back on his face. ‘I’m trying to find loopholes to get rid of the board. No board, no problems, right?’

Jayden noticed his smile falter. He sighed, leaning into Chester slightly. “No, you’re right. You always are.” He looked up at him. “I’m sorry for saying that. It was stupid. I won’t keep this stuff a secret if I don’t have to.”

Chester ran his fingers through his hair. ‘I’m not always right,’ he murmured. ‘I was wrong about not needing chaos. And not having a favourite colour, apparently.’

Jayd chuckled. “Does that mean I can pull pranks on you now?” He asked innocently.

Chester rolled his eyes. ‘Fine. But only because I’m curious.’

Jayden cheered. “Great!”

Chester laughed softly.

Jayd smiled, looking up at Chester. “Feel better now?” He asked softly.

Chester smiled and nodded. ‘You always know how to cheer me up,’ he murmured, nuzzling into him. ‘Now, why don’t I go look at some of those big fat law books, and you work on some elaborate prank? Unless you want to study human law with me.’

“I’ll work on a prank.” Jayden chuckled. He didn’t pull away, though.
