Chester sat behind him and wrapped his arms around his waist and rested his head on his back. ‘Yeah. She kind of scares me.’

Jayden laughed, leaning into him and tilting his head back so he could look at his boyfriend. “Oh. Why’s that?”

Chester kissed his nose. ‘She said I’d be in trouble if I damaged one of her books. I’m afraid she might give me detention or something. Me, a 24-year-old king, detention.’

Jayd blushed. “She won’t give you detention, you goof. She’s most likely just going to make you pay her back for the book, that’s all.” He chuckled.

Chester huffed. ‘Still! A servant should not scare me!’

Jayden chuckled. “She’s nice, I promise.” He kissed his cheek.

Chester rolled his eyes, kissing the top of his head. ‘If you say so.’

Jayd blushed, grinning. “Did you find any loopholes?”

‘No. I couldn’t keep reading, but I’ve got a good idea of the basic law stuff.’

“Well, that’s good.”

‘I suppose,’ Chester said, kissing Jayden’s neck. ‘But what now?’

“I have no idea.” Jayden leaned into him.

‘Fair enough,’ Chester murmured, kissing his neck again.

Jayd blushed. “Why are you so amazing?” He mumbled.

‘What, kissing you makes me amazing now?’ Chester laughed. ‘It’s the bare minimum, darling.’
