Chester wrapped his chain around his thumb, trying to act like hadn’t been forced to tell Astrid as a half bunny. ‘I doubt Jayden told him anything. My best guess is he found out dishonestly, through a servant or previous servant of mine,’ he said, ‘that or someone I used to be close to told him.’

"Can we interview Jayden after to see? Where is he?"

‘No. He’s working,’ Chester said.

The reporter frowned, but quit asking questions. Another reporter raised his hand.

Chester hated how easily these lies came out of his mouth. He gestured to the reporter. ‘What’s your question?’

"Are you planning on investigating who told Astrid the rumor?"

‘No. Next question?’

"Why aren't you investigating?"

‘Because only a few servants came with me when I went to the East with Jayden, and I trust those servants.’

"But couldn't they spread more rumors if they don't get caught?"

‘I doubt it. I don’t have much to hide.’

Cleverly shot him a skeptical look. The reporter didn't seem satisfied, but didn't say anything else.

Chester glanced at Cleverly, then back at the reporters. ‘Anyone else?’

No one raised their hands or said anything.

Chester was expecting a lot more questions. He frowned.
