Chester stayed in the conference room for a few moments after Cleverly left. He sat back down and buried his face in his hands.

Jayden meanwhile, was sitting on the windowsill looking at the garden.

After 10 minutes and a mini panic attack I’m too tired to describe, Chester walked back to his room.

help real. Jayden grinned once he saw Chester. "Hey! How'd it go?"

Chester forced a smile and took off his blazer, movements kinda shaky and slow like they are after a breakdown. ‘Great. It was great.’

Jayden knew immediately that it wasn't fine. "Do you want to talk about it, or do you want me to act like it never happened?"

‘The second one.’

"Okay." Jayden held him close.

Chester nestled into his arms, burying his face in his chest.

Jayden kissed the top of his head.

Chester didn’t want to cry in front of him, so he didn’t.

Jayden played with his hair.

Chester let him.

Jayden wished he would tell him what happened, but he didn't want to pry, so he didn't.
