'I-I don't know...' Mildred said. 'I don't think I could just take it. Could you give me some time to think on it?'
-
"sure, but I need to leave in a week if you're not up for it, because staying is a tad dangerous for me. So make up your mind by then." Frederick said. Meanwhile jack spoke "just train your skeleton better nosfera."
-
'Alright,' Mildred said, nodding. 'Also, were you the one who drew in my book?'
-
"yeah, I've been in this library waiting to catch jack asleep but instead I caught you." Frederick said in a joking tone.
-
Mildred frowned. 'It was a good book, too,' she mumbled.
-
"Geez, sorry. I didn't know pesants could actually read." Frederick said. Meanwhile jack was watching the other party guests filter in
-
'Hey! I may not be as well off as you, but I'm not stupid,' Mildred protested.
-
"you say that, but you stay in a vampire castle all day and only talk to the chef and the incredibly unstable vampire prince who wanted to drain your human blood for a refreshment." Frederick said
-
'It's not like I have any other choice. I tried escaping, but I couldn't find my way out. Still, I have it better here than I ever did in the human town,' Mildred said.
-
"the exit is easy, you just have to stay on the left. As to why you stayed is it because you like the politics here because I don't think this place will last with jack running it. Jack is too sweet to actually punish people." Frederick said
-
'Hm,' Mildred hummed, cocking her head at him. 'If he's so sweet why don't you tell him of your plan? You could ask him yourself if he wants to use his eye to bring back his brother instead of stealing it.'
-
"he's sweet but he's still a vampire and as much as I know he loves me there's also a chance he'll kill me when he sees me." Frederick said
-
'Then write him a note,' Mildred said, twirling the four notes Frederick had written between her fingers. 'He can't kill a note.'
-
"i don't want to give away the fact that I'm here because then he'd send the entire palace to search for me. I left hints for him though." Frederick said
-
'Like the drawing in my book,' Mildred said quietly.
